Když vidí dobitého chudáka vykřikne: „Petře, proboha, co jsi vyváděl!?“ „Vy ho znáte, pane nadporučíku?“ „Jasně, spolužák ze základky, Petr Novák. Tuším, že bydlí na Palackého.“ Pan Novák se teda zbitý vrací domů a před vchodem vyběhne domovník. „Pane Nováku, rychle utečte! Hledala vás tu policie, ale já jsem vás kryl.“
