Fred Again... - Leavemealone
I love my Podcasts and lately I have been listening to Steven Bartlett from Dragon's Den. He has a Podcast called the Diary of a CEO and would highly recommend it for anybody with an interest in business, personal development and general knowledge. He has excellent guests on and I must say that I am picking up some great knowledge while listening to the interviews that he does with people.
So what has that got to do with Three Tune Tuesday and Fred Again you might ask? Well I was watching Steven Bartlett giving an interview at a Blockchain and technology event and the interviewer asked him what tunes he listens to while working out and he mentioned Fred Again, who I had heard of but was not that familiar with. So this week I am sharing a few tunes from Fred Again, starting things off with Leavemealone.
Fred Again... - adore u
Born Frederick John Philip Gibson on 19th July 1993 and known professionally as Fred Again, he is actually the same age as Steven Bartlett, so I think that maybe he knows him.
He is an English record producer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and DJ. He likes to collaborate with other artists and was nominated for a Grammy last year, so is starting to make his way towards the big time.
Fred Again.. - Tiny Desk Concert
And now to finish off with one of my favourite ways to listen to music and that is via the wonderfully simple and wholesome medium of Tiny Desk concerts, which we all know and love.
Fred Again is a special talent. He plays and records everything you hear here himself and he intersperses them using pedals, effects. Anywhere he uses someone else's voice he shows them on screen behind him.
This set is amazing, the breadth of musical ability, production, cohesion, passion blows me away. Take a bow Fred Again and thanks Steven for the recommendation. The following is what the Tiny Desk producers said about this performance and I think it sums it up nicely.
When Fred again.. first proposed a Tiny Desk concert, it wasn't immediately clear how he was going to make it work — not because he lacked creativity, but because translating purely electronic music at the Desk is a daunting task for anyone. How would an artist, whose performances take the form of DJ sets in front of massive audiences, curate an intimate and unique experience? But what the British songwriter and producer came up with is a reminder of what a Tiny Desk is at its best: an opportunity for artists to challenge themselves in such a way that it almost feels like they're making new music, all while sticking to what feels true to them. For Fred again.. that meant re-learning the marimba, playing the vibraphone, singing at the piano and looping sounds and beats — all at the same time.
Three Tune Tuesday
That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?
It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.
This is my 148th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.
It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!
Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.
We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.
I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.
For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Oh I love that tiny concert, not heard of Fred Again!
Listening to it now whilst trading!
Have a great week.
Nice one Ed, it's a good one 👌🏻
Love listening to Fred Again! We gon make it through!!!
Good man, good taste 👌🏻
I’ve heard of him and it’s kind of funny because my friend David was talking about him the other day and how he produces, mostly with field recordings. Then the following day I was listening to Four Tets new album also very good and read about Pangbourne House Mafia which comprises of Four Tet, Fred Again and Skrillex. This was interesting as we know the village of Pangbourne quite well but had never heard of this.
So I ended up listening to Fred Again and enjoyed it a lot.
Nice one man, that was cool going on a journey with you how all these dots lined up and ended with you watching this great Tiny Desk Concert. I'd say he'd be great to see live
Definitely
Nice! Gonna rock these picks right now! 🎸
Good stuff. The Tiny Desk is standout and needs to be watched and listened to in order to fully appreciate
Haven't heard of Fred Again...
Regardless he has nice music.
Thanks for the advert mate...
Ya weird name, but great music 🎵
I've actually never heard of this guy before. He seems pretty cool though and anyone that gets to do a Tiny Desk concert is all right in my book!
Ya anyone with a Tiny Desk Concert deserves a listen. I really liked what he did with the loop pedals and live performance
Loop pedals are pretty cool. I watched an Ed Sheeran show once where it was just him and a bunch of instruments and some loopers.
woah fred popping off never heard of him before
Hope you enjoyed him 🎶
thank you I did~
Never heard of him, but pretty good. That tiny deck concert is great, he never mad it across the pond sadly!
He played Coachella last year as far as I know and was a big success, but definitely not mainstream in the States yet
I hope he breaks into the market, he's a talented guy! Coachella is a great start to break into the market.
Haven’t heard the tune before but it’s a good one
Cheers
I've heard of him, but it's not the sort of music I usually listen to. That said, the Tiny Desk show is great. I've seen lots of people use looping, but he really explores what it can do. He gets some cool drum beats from hitting the desk.
Cheers and !BEER
Ya I was blown away by the Tiny Desk to be honest. It was deep, pure, honest, creative and everything you'd want in a performance. I've watched it around 3 times in the past couple of days. I just think it's so damn good.
