Hour-long mixtape for relaxation or study

in Musiclast year

This is my first hour-long mixtape, and I was inspired by some of the long mixes you can get on YouTube for relaxation or study. I use some of the isochronic tones electronic music to stay alert if I need to clear my head for work purposes. I know people who like to use the cafe ambience tracks or the Studio Ghibli piano music as a background when working or studying.

In the hope that a longer video might be a bit more appealing to people wanting background music, I have included about one third of the suitable recordings -- the more mellow tracks -- I found in my archive. Most of them are accompanied by Marco Marconi, but some tracks feature guitar accompaniment by Hive's very own @steevc.

As I post this, I can hear the wind howling and the rain lashing on the windows, giving the mix a very cozy quality just before turning in for bed.

I hope you enjoy it!

I started to listen to this earlier this afternoon, and think it's really going to be great for background music. Will definitely be listening to the rest

Cool, thanks!

For relaxation, I use some of the rock mix. But I can't study while listening to music, it kind of distract.
However, I love this mix. Nice share

I can't work if the music has lyrics, either. Thanks for your kind comment!

Me too, lyrics is tricky..
But this is nice to work to.. 👍

A nice way to start my day. It must be a while since we recorded those tracks. We ought to do a @swing47 reunion some time :)

It's funny you should mention that -- I was just thinking maybe we could play some tunes at the Angel's Share open mic? I'm also up for doing some more recordings.

Dear @daniellemurray, you just got hugged.
I sent 1.0 HUG on behalf of @steevc.
