We had a special guest join us from across the water in County Wexford, Ireland at the weekend -- Anne-Marie Kearney, who sang and played through around a dozen tunes with us at the folk band rehearsal on Sunday.
She joined @purplesinger, @steevc, myself, Bob S, Ray Moolay and @anna-newkey. I love playing with these people, who are all very talented as well as being dear friends. The fact that we've been jamming and gigging together since about 2016/2017 also seems to help when we're communicating, which is great.
Once more, Bob kindly made some informal recordings of the whole rehearsal, "just in case anyone wants to use the footage to make a documentary called No Way Back" when we're famous 😀. They aren't particularly balanced, because they were just made for our reference, but I hope you enjoy them anyway.
So here are three tunes [#TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday] from Furwell Polk about crossing the water in the hope of a better life, or feeling sad that people are leaving and not being able to wait till they come back again (which will happen fairly soon in our case if all goes well).

I'm honoured that you included this as a #ttt post and hopefully some day I can enjoy listening to you ensemble in real life. Where did ye have this Seisiún Mór? Sounds like mighty craic.
It was totally ace. We use the back room of a community centre in Hitchin (Hertfordshire) because we're becoming a band. But we also play in pubs and bars around the immediate area. Some of us just played a few tunes together as a band at an open mic this evening (myself, @purplesinger, Bob S and Ray M, because @anna-newkey and @steevc were sadly unable to be there today).

Oh yeah, this was nice. I could very easily picture myself listening to these folks in a pub or an outdoor event with a beer to pass the evening. Awesome.

I love Barbara's expression in that picture :) It was a really good session and some songs are practically performance ready. I think we could be ready for some gigs in the summer. If Anne-Marie could join us for some of those it would be great. Thanks for putting this together.
