Ya vamos por las guitarras de este nuevo ep para la banda insania. Como productor e ingeniero de sonido de todo este proyecto estoy emocionado porque ya está a punto de terminar. Bueno no todo el EP, la primera canción del EP, siendo más específicos. Esto es música producida completamente por nosotros. La banda compuso las canciones y cuando era momento de grabar me llamaron. Ya grabamos las baterías y el bajo de este tema. Aún no puedo adelantar el nombre del tema no quiero soltar información que me puedo meter en problemas con la banda así que mantendré las cosas a nivel superficial. Pero grabar guitarras es muy fuerte así que disfruté de este día de grabación como no tiene ni idea. No tengo nada en contra de las pedaleras digitales pero a mí me encantan los pedales. Y lentamente he ido consiguiendo los pedales adecuados para el tipo de trabajo que necesite hacer. En este caso grabamos con el ds1 de BOSS y el famoso RAT.
We're already working on the guitars for this new EP for the band Insania. As the producer and sound engineer for this entire project, I'm excited because it's almost finished. Well, not the entire EP, but the first song, to be more specific. This is music produced entirely by us. The band wrote the songs, and when it was time to record, they called me. We've already recorded the drums and bass for this song. I can't reveal the title of the song yet; I don't want to give away information that could get me in trouble with the band, so I'll keep things superficial. But recording guitars is very intense, so I enjoyed this recording day like you'd never know. I have nothing against digital pedalboards, but I love pedals. And slowly, I've been getting the right pedals for the type of work I need to do. In this case, we recorded with the BOSS DS1 and the famous RAT.
Dos pedales famosos que hacen muy bien el trabajo. Los usamos los dos en la producción porque queríamos un sonido diferente para cada una de las guitarras y estábamos grabando a dos personas tocando guitarra. Entonces una de las guitarras en la producción tiene un pedal y la otra evidentemente el otro pedal. Los chicos se saben su canción ya estaban ensayados así que fue bastante rápido. Creo que lo más complicado de todo fue conseguir el sonido adecuado para cada una de las guitarras con los pedales. Hicimos un par de pruebas y hasta que no estuvimos contentos con el resultado no comenzamos a grabar. Pero una vez que ya estábamos contentos con el resultado la grabación fue como la seda. Y el vocalista de la banda se trajo unas galletas así que celebramos comiendo dulces. No le puedo pedir más a la vida. Pronto nos va a tocar grabar las voces así que voy a postear el proceso de grabación de las voces también.
Two famous pedals that do the job really well. We used both in the production because we wanted a different sound for each of the guitars, and we were recording two people playing guitar. So, one of the guitars in the production has one pedal, and the other obviously has the other pedal. The guys know their song, and they were already rehearsed, so it was pretty quick. I think the hardest part of all was getting the right sound for each of the guitars with the pedals. We did a couple of tests, and we didn't start recording until we were happy with the result. But once we were happy with the result, the recording went like clockwork. And the band's vocalist brought some cookies, so we celebrated by eating them. I couldn't ask for more. We'll soon be recording vocals, so I'll post the process of recording them as well.
