Days Like This Would Come. It is okay to break but never surrender!

We all are human beings who would encounter one distress or the other. One bad moment. Sometimes it gets really tough and we experience them all at once in rapid succession.

There are days that would come and we'd be faced with pure temptations. Days that come when it feels like our bones have truly been grinded and mashed into nothing. These are days that our hearts bleed and our walls crumble leaving us vulnerable and defenseless. We begin to seek those who'd see us and love us for what we are not what we try to be. The sad thing is that, people sometimes do not like the real version of you. So what do you do?

The Jist

As we all know, this is Three Tune Tuesday and it is now one of my favorite days of the week. I have had thoughts of letting today slide because my songs always seem to have the same pattern and so...predictable. But then I remembered that I owned my mind and it didn't own me. Even if I have one pattern, it has to be what I like. Something I can relate to. So this is a 'hooge' F to my mind for trying to dictate what I can do when I am its master.

So here is the jist from @ablaze:

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Now that we have that settled, let us move to the storm that is the mind!

NF ft. Jeremiah Carlson - I'll Keep On

One thing I have come to understand in my short time on earth is that we can make or break who we are by what we think. We become who we are by what we let play in the potent field that is more spiritual than anything. We become what we see in our mind.

I know it is not easy seeing what we want to see or what God sees because we get so occupied with the worries of our lives. Our mind gets clustered with the responsibilities and our heart drifts away from base.

What is your base? Could it be religion? Your family? Your work?
Whatever it is, the first thing the mind does when it is breaking down is putting up a defense wall and blocking every other thing out. At that moment we just want to heal. The mind may become the master, comforting you but also destroying you. I guess this is why we are guided to 'renew our minds'.

Flame ft. NF - Start Over

The thing about bases is that you always touch down when you know yours. You can never drift too far. So what is yours? Start by finding your base and remind yourself to touch down frequently. I have bases all around me. I surrounded myself because I know I still haven't fully cultivated my mental ability to withstand pain.

I break down a lot and that is when I touch the nearest base. That is when I remind myself a lot that my mind is mine and I can break but I shouldn't give up.

Don't get it twisted. No matter how motivated or ready you think you are, you are never ready enough. When one has decided to become something of themselves, that is when it seems like life is out for us. Hehe. Embrace it. How would you leave a mark on the world if there is none on you?

Like someone I know would say, 'Take it. Swallow it. Digest it. Use it.' Use those experiences, those regrets and that lesson. Use it.

Justin Bieber ft. Judah Smith, Chandler Moore & Tori Kelly

I have learned to take a deep breath and turn to my base when the world begins to get to me. When their hateful speech, anger and bad seed begin to sprout, I turn, on my knees, I cut it right from the root. Because there is no place for negativity here.

I do not let the worries of tomorrow, the regrets of yesterday or the fights of today weigh me down. I wake up excited. I am grateful that I have one more day to live. To make a change and that is what matters. I am alive. So?

It means it is not over yet! My story continues and no one writes it except me. Not even my mind. My mind is mine and it sees what I want it to. Not the other way round!

Sometimes, what we listen to may be in a looped pattern but what they better communicate, how much of a comfort they offer and a better companion they are at the point we need them most can't just be quantified. They sometimes better relate to all we ever faced and give their honest to opinion to what was and what can be. Those three songs are indeed special for the week. We can't keep living in the shadow of our past nor the worries of tomorrow. Well done @deraaa, well done.

Thank you😊

And here I thought I knew all of NF songs. Weird hearing him sing throughout, although he did the same in Chasing 😂😂
Nice picks @deraa❤️

There are a lot of his songs we haven't heard. Have you heard "I've Got Jesus"?

There's another one...
I've not really listened to his features though 😂😂
Just his albums and singles...

He wasn't featured tho. NF was a gospel rapper. Before he changed his style...

Ahhh
I see, I'm aware of the gospel part though 😂
Thanks, I'll go brush up on his earlier works
