Volvamos a hablar un poco de rock y en esta ocasión recordaremos una de las bandas mexicanas más populares de la década de los 90s. Algunas de sus canciones siguen siendo hoy, himno del rock latinoamericano. La banda se dio a conocer con su primer disco el cual se tituló "¿Dónde jugarán las niñas?” Es así, estoy hablando de Molotov.
Let's talk about rock again and this time we will remember one of the most popular Mexican bands of the 90s. Some of their songs are still today, Latin American rock anthems. The band became known with their first album which was titled “¿Dónde jugarán las niñas?” That's right, I'm talking about Molotov.
En mi opinión, Molotov es de esas bandas que no tiene ni un pelo de temor para expresar con su contenido todas sus incomodidades de los sistemas políticos que vivía su país y otros hermanos de Latinoamérica. Pero en especial el sistema que tenía México en los 90s. Es increíble como un disco que fue vetado de las tiendas de discos, radios y otros- Todo debido a su lengua explícita. Acá un dato sumamente interesante, la banda nunca se rindió y debido a la suspensión que tenían por sus canciones no dudaron en ser ellos mismo los que se dedicarán a vender sus discos. Fue esa decisión y sus controversiales mensajes en sus canciones que lograron llegar a la fama siendo considerada como una de las bandas de rock más influyentes del rock latinoamericano.
In my opinion, Molotov is one of those bands that has not a hair of fear to express with their content all their discomfort with the political systems that their country and other Latin American brothers lived. But especially the system that Mexico had in the 90s. It is incredible how an album that was banned from record stores, radios and others - all because of its explicit language. Here's a very interesting fact, the band never gave up and due to the suspension they had for their songs they didn't hesitate to be the ones to sell their records. It was that decision and their controversial messages in their songs that made them famous and they are considered one of the most influential rock bands in Latin American rock.
Mi hermana era muy fan de esta banda y de hecho fue ella quien llevó a casa el disco que les menciono. Ella ha cambiado mucho sus gustos musicales pero no cabe duda que por un tiempo tuvo buenos gustos ja ja ja... Yo, a diferencia de ella, sigo manteniendo mis gustos musicales y prefiero quedarme así, qué vivir en un mundo musical donde la ignorancia es la herramienta para sus composiciones.
My sister was a big fan of this band and in fact it was her who brought home the album I mentioned. She has changed her musical tastes a lot but there is no doubt that for a while she had good tastes ha ha ha ha.... I, unlike her, still keep my musical tastes and I prefer to stay that way, than to live in a musical world where ignorance is the tool for her compositions.
Este disco fue sin duda una gran catapulta para la banda mexicana pero hay que también destacar que hubo otros que siguieron consolidando a la banda. Disco como por ejemplo "Con todo respeto" acá encontramos otro clásico de la banda y hablo de "Amateur" Una canción que habla de las situaciones que vivió la banda desde sus inicios y contada por los propios protagonistas, los integrantes de la banda. Amateur (Rock Me Amadeus) No recuerdo bien de quién es la versión original solo sé que esta es una versión de la banda mexicana Molotov. ¿Qué tal si empezamos escuchando "Amateur"?

La canción fue escrita para su primer baterista el cual abandona la banda que en ese momento estaba ganando un buen terrero en la industria para irse con una banda mexicana ya consolidad. Ahora que recuerdo mejor, es que hasta la portada de "¿Dónde jugarán las niñas?” fue bastante controversial. Como no la iba a recordar... Ahora bien, cerramos este martes de #ttt con la canción más importante de la banda. Gimme Tha Power, esta canción destapo la caja de pandora en su país. La critica hacia un gobierno que solo buscaba más poder para ellos fue una dura situación que vivió el país. Hoy son otros escenarios en donde vemos tanta discriminación al pueblo. No cabe duda que este es el himno más importante para el rock latinoamericano. Escuchemos este clásico de la banda.

Bro te la recomiendo. Es una buena banda y con excelente canciones. Una vez hice un cover de esta banda. Exactamente no recuerdo cuál fue 😂 pero de verdad que cuando canté sentí más de cerca toda su protesta musical. Son de verdad excelentes 🤟🏼
