Pero no es hasta que no te has comprometido es que no sabes todo lo que amerita planear, elegir y elaborar para que ese día especial para ti y tu pareja sea inolvidable.
Everyone, or at least most people want to get married and have a family, some have never wanted to and will never want to, but you will still find this story interesting. But it is not until you have not committed yourself that you don't know everything that needs to be planned, chosen and elaborated to make that special day unforgettable for you and your partner.
En mi vida como músico he tocado en muchos eventos públicos y privados de todo tipo. Algunos muy elaborados y otros no tanto, pero todos tenían en común la buena música.
In my life as a musician I have played at many public and private events of all kinds. Some very elaborate and others not so much, but all had in common good music.

My story today is from about two months ago when I was invited to play at a wedding event that was very cool.
Algo de contexto e historia: Todos recordamos al año 2020 por lo trágico, molesto y problemático que fue para todo el mundo. ¿Qué pensarían si les cuento que en Venezuela, en eso días –me refiero a marzo del 2020- yo ya tenía varios eventos donde podría ganar muy bien tocando música cool y de la noche a la mañana todo se canceló?

Some context and history: We all remember the year 2020 for how tragic, annoying and problematic it was for everyone. What would you think if I tell you that in Venezuela, in those days -I mean March 2020- I already had several events where I could earn very well playing cool music and overnight everything was canceled?

Pues este evento llamado “EstaDeBoda” es un evento anual donde muchos grupos musicales, agencias de festejo, agencias de decoración y vestimenta, y todo lo que podrías necesitar para tu boda se reúnen en un solo lugar durante tres días. A este evento nos invitaron los del grupo @ConKlase, un genial grupo bailable que quisieron integrar cuerdas frotadas a su staff y les puedo decir que sonábamos genial. Pero, el show se canceló 3 días antes del evento por la llegada a Venezuela del covid-19.
Well, this event called "EstaDeBoda" is an annual event where many musical groups, party agencies, decoration and dress agencies, and everything you could need for your wedding get together in one place for three days. We were invited to this event by @ConKlase, a great dance band that wanted to integrate rubbed strings to their staff and I can tell you that we sounded great. But, the show was cancelled 3 days before the event due to the arrival of covid-19 to Venezuela.
La orquesta se componía por tres percusionistas, un trio de cuerdas, un saxo, guitarra, bajo, teclado y cantantes jóvenes y llenos de vida.
The orchestra consisted of three percussionists, a string trio, a saxophone, guitar, bass, keyboard and young and full of life singers.
Pero aun así, y como la vida debe seguir, este año 2021 los organizadores decidieron volver a hacer el show y vaya que estuvo concurrido. Todo ocurrió en el hotel Tamanaco Intercontinental con las medidas de bioseguridad.
But even so, and as life must go on, this year 2021 the organizers decided to do the show again and it was well attended. It all took place at the Tamanaco Intercontinental Hotel with the biosecurity measures.
El repertorio un poco de todo, desde Ed Sheeran hasta lo más bailable de la música latinoamericana, pasando por el funk y el reggeton. Un muy divertido show.
The repertoire was a little bit of everything, from Ed Sheeran to the most danceable Latin American music, including funk and reggeton. A very funny show.
En el evento había mimos vestidos con trajes súper elaborados, hasta otros que personificaban a personajes icónicos de series de televisión y el cine. Habían muchos stand de música en vivo, muchos stand de comidas elaboradas para eventos donde te daban muestras, carros increíbles donde podrías sentirte como todo un señor y flores, cuantas flores maravillosas habían exhibidas por doquier.
At the event there were mimes dressed in elaborate costumes, to others who impersonated iconic characters from TV series and movies. There were lots of live music booths, lots of elaborate food booths for events where they gave you samples, amazing cars where you could feel like a real gentleman and flowers, how many wonderful flowers were displayed everywhere.
Pero la música, fue genial. Todo un show digno de todo tipo de evento. Y créanme, luego de ese evento tan genialmente planeado hemos tocado ya el mismo show varias veces gracias a lo exitoso del mismo.
But the music, it was great. A show worthy of any kind of event. And believe me, after that brilliantly planned event we have played the same show several times thanks to its success.
