I must clarify that this is a production that I made very quickly for this week of #openmic, it is more than clear that it has several details to correct even, but what I want to show with this is that even if you do not have a professional recording studio you can make good productions at home with the little you have, this time I want to keep the focus on the structure of the rhythm I made and talk a little about how I made it and what tools I used for this little musical demo, for those who do not know, in the music world is called "demo" to an idea recorded in the studio, but does not have the highest quality audio, as it is something that is done quickly to have a basis of what you want to achieve, even so I found an acceptable sound and suitable for publication here in #openmic.
I wrote this song today, using the resource of rhetoric, playing with a metaphor that refers to the heart as a toy and this is reflected in the lyrics by the theme of this week "toys", I know that the week is ending and that is why I made this very fast, I apologize if the video has some delay when synchronization, render and process everything at the first time without correcting details, I will leave the lyrics and the process below the video.

I will go to the point to be brief, the first thing you should do in case you want to put together an idea with an urban rhythm is to download libraries of urban sounds, you can get some free libraries on youtube, some producers give away packs of drums and urban percussion, also samples of different sounds and instruments, but when you know even a little music theory everything is easier, I usually separate each instrument or sound with colors to identify them faster when making a change, I started building a base sound, using my midi piano connecting it to the pc to handle a plugin called EZKEYS, its developers are from a company called toontrack, I really like the sound of this virtual piano, it has many effects, you just have to play with its equalization and be creative to get good results, after assembling the base sound with EZKEYS I took my acoustic guitar and recorded it with a microphone mxl 770, I made a base rhythm with the guitar and then an arpeggio, both rhythms separately, to make the guitars sound good in a song they only have to duplicate and distribute their sound in the stereo field, opening one a little to the left and another to the right, after that I was placing the percussion with a trap library, but I used the trap sounds to put together a calm rhythm of reggaeton fused, in my opinion it gave a very original touch, I also used a plugin called MODOBASS, to make the sequence of the bass. .. I like this plugin because it offers you a variety of electric basses for any taste, giving you the option to change the playing technique, also to modify many things like using an active bass or a passive one.
Once I had the rhythm I wanted and imagined in my mind, I moved on to volume leveling, equalization, compression and correction of other details, this process is known as the mix and it is in the mix where all the elements are compacted together, but we must be very careful that no element takes away the prominence of another and that everything sounds good, that there is a good harmony, as well as a good rhythm and a good intensity of gain and volume.
I usually work the final results with sent channels, so I have a better control of the portions of reverb, delay, compression and other little things that I apply when mixing, and finally there is only the voice recording, which was what I did live and then mastering, which is to raise the volume and gain of the song to a commercial level, but in this case all I did was maximize a little with a plugin called "Maximizer" and added a little limitation with the "Fruty Limiter" I would like to explain everything in more detail, but I know that doing it in a written way for many will be confusing, so if anyone wants to get knowledge about what is music production in the area of creation of instrumentals and urban rhythms, such as trap, rap, reggaeton, you can let me know through the comments and I could soon record videos explaining step by step how to make a specific genre with fl studio, greetings friends!
