Music is always with me, and between YouTube and Spotify, my days are happier. That's what the following songs I'm recommending to you evoke in me...
¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!. Un agradable espació en la comunidad Music que nació de la idea del hermano @ablaze, donde todos los participantes nos recomendamos música entre nosotros. Con tanto trabajo tenía algunas semanas sin participar, pero eso es bueno, porque es tiempo suficiente para que llegue nueva música a mi vida, porque esa siempre está conmigo, y entre Youtube y Spotify mis días son más felices, es lo que me provocan las siguientes canciones que ahora les recomiendo...
1. Hips Don't Lie - Shakira Ft. Ed Sheeran & Beéle
Shakira is celebrating 30 years since the release of her album Pies Descalzos and 20 years since Oral Fixations 1 and 2. And although, as a fan, I'm not fooled and I perfectly remember that Hips Don't Lie will turn 20 in February 2026, since it was re-released months later, the new version with Ed Sheeran and Beéle has me as crazy as Jesus was when he was barely 18. I'm listening to this song too many times a day, and it reminds me of the power it had back then—the best-selling song of 2006 and the most important of her career so far. These two artists, especially Beéle, have contributed a modern and laid-back sound, perfect for turning our house into a perfect Colombian carnival.
Shakira está celebrando 30 años del lanzamiento de su álbum Pies Descalzos y 20 años de sus Oral Fixations 1 y 2, y aunque a como fan no me engaña y recuerdo a perfección que Hips Don´t Lie va a cumplir 20 años es en Febrero de 2026, ya que salió con un relanzamiento meses después, la nueva versión junto a Ed Sheeran & Beéle me tiene tan enloquecido como el Jesús que apenas tenía 18 años. Estoy escuchando esta canción demasiadas veces al día y me hace recordar la fuerza que tuvo en su momento, la más vendida de 2006 y la más importante de su carrera hasta el momento. Estos dos artistas, especialmente Beéle han aportado un sonido moderno y desestresado perfecto para convertir nuestra casa en un carnaval colombiano perfecto.
2. Berghain - Rosalía Ft. Björk & Yves Tumor
Have you heard Rosalía's new song yet? 😱 It's definitely turned heads. My wife and I saw the video when it premiered and we thought it was insane, and I thought it would go unnoticed, but it hasn't. Its impact on the current scene has been huge. My wife sings opera and I'm surrounded by orchestras and choirs, maybe that's why we didn't see it as anything special at first, but for people outside our artistic niche, this song has been very impressive, and it truly is. I admire the combinations she's always made in her music, but this time she went even further, and I think the secret to pushing boundaries lies in her friendship with Björk ❤️ I hope they continue making music together and that she moves away from reggaeton, because that's something I've seen in Rosalía from the beginning: an extreme musical potential that has always been suppressed by reggaeton... It had to be said, and it was!!!!
¿Ya escucharon esta nueva canción de Rosalía? 😱 Vaya que ha llamado la atención. Mi esposa y yo vimos el video en estreno y nos pareció una locura, y pensé que iba a pasar desapercibido, pero no ha sido así, el impacto en el panorama actual ha sido grande. Mi esposa canta ópera y yo estoy rodeado de un mundo de orquestas y coros, quizás por eso no lo vimos especial al inicio, pero para las personas fuera de nuestro nicho artístico, esta composición ha sido muy imponente, y de hecho lo es. Admiro las combinaciones que siempre ha hecho en su música, pero esta ve fue más allá y creo que el secreto de buscar algo más lo está logrando con su amistad con Björk ❤️ Ojalá sigan haciendo música juntas y que se aleje del reggaetón, porque eso sí que es algo que he visto en Rosalía desde el inicio, un potencial musical extremo que siempre ha sido reprimido por el reggaetón... Se tenía que decir y se dijo!!!!
3. Por Un Like - Mónica Naranjo
I don't know if everyone knows or remembers Mónica Naranjo, but as a musician, I understood early on that she was one of the most outstanding voices in all of humanity in this era we're living in. She regularly brings us new music, often with profound songs and powerful messages. In this case, the lyrics are also very good, even if the main idea is somewhat superficial; but let's talk about her voice... Wow, the older she gets, the better she sounds, and what I loved most is that combination of an innocent, almost childlike voice with which she begins the verses, before unleashing her full potential in the chorus. She always has that effect on me, and only true artists are so versatile. Mónica Naranjo and electropop together are pure bliss for my soul...
No sé si todo el mundo conoce o recuerda a Mónica Naranjo, pero como músico, entendí a temprana edad que esta era una de las voces más sobresalientes de toda la humanidad en esta era que estamos viviendo. Eventualmente nos trae música nueva, muchas veces con canciones profundas, de grandes mensajes. En este caso la letra también es muy buena, aunque la idea principal sea algo superficial; pero hablemos de su voz... Wow, mientras más edad tiene suena mejor, y lo que más amé es esa combinación de voz inocente, casi infantil con la que inicia las estrofas, antes de explotar todo su potencial en el coro. Ella siempre causa ese efecto en mí, y solo los verdaderos artistas son tan versátiles. Mónica Naranjo y el electropop juntos son amor para mi alma...
La Ñapa
I'm signing off with the same girl I started with. Back in 2005, I was dying for this song, and this rock version, to be the second promotional single from Fijación Oral Vol. 1, but she had more surprises in store for that album, which we ended up loving almost completely, because many of its songs became hits and are destined to stay. It's great to listen to her 20 years later and see Shakira shining on Spotify. I love this little EP, although I would have loved it if they had included more songs...
Me despido con la misma chica con quien comencé. En 2005 moría de ganas de que esta canción, y esta versión rockera fuera el segundo sencillo promocional de Fijación Oral Vol. 1, pero ella tenía preparado más sorpresas para ese álbum, que al final terminamos amando casi por completo, porque muchas de sus canciones llegaron para ser éxitos y quedarse para siempre. Es grata escucharla 20 años después y ver a Shakira brillar en Spotify. Me encanta este pequeño EP, aunque me habría encantado que incluyeran más canciones...
