Songs of yesterday
Hola queridos lectores, espero se encuentren bien. Ayer en la comodidad de mi cuarto me puse a pensar en mis gustos musicales tan variados. Realmente me gusta de todo un poco, pero algo que si me sorprendió fue darme cuenta de que a pesar de que soy joven, me gustan las canciones viejas, esas baladas románticas que usualmente escuchan las mamás mientras limpian la casa. Jamás lo había dicho abiertamente como un hecho, pero realmente lo es.
Hello dear readers, I hope you are well. Yesterday in the comfort of my room I started thinking about my varied musical tastes. I really like a little bit of everything, but something that surprised me was the realization that even though I am young, I like old songs, those romantic ballads that moms usually listen to while cleaning the house. I had never said it openly as a fact, but it really is.
Desde muy pequeña les he venido agarrando el gusto a lo que yo considero, canciones de señores, como mis padres suelen escuchar ese tipo de canciones, crecí con ellas. Y si nos ponemos a comprarlas con las de ahora, son una obra de arte que, aún después de mucho tiempo, deberían de ser conocidas por esta generación y tomadas como modelo a seguir por los nuevos artistas. Hay muchos que no me sé por nombre, pero tan pronto escucho un pedacito de una canción que conozca automáticamente me pongo a cantar, ni yo sé cómo mi cerebro almacena tantas canciones.
Since I was very little I have been getting a taste for what I consider gentlemen's songs, as my parents usually listen to that kind of songs, I grew up with them. And if we start buying them with those of today, they are a work of art that even after a long time should be known by this generation and taken as a model for new artists to follow. There are many that I don't know by name, but as soon as I hear a little piece of a song that I know I automatically start singing, I don't even know how my brain stores so many songs.
Las letras de estas canciones (mayormente románticas), transmiten sentimientos que llegan al corazón y resultan pegadizas. En vez de dedicar un reggaetón, como hacen hoy en día, debería dedicar una de estas canciones tan lindas, canciones que sí vale la pena escuchar. Al final del post les dejaré una lista de canciones viejitas, para dedicar.
The lyrics of these songs (mostly romantic), convey feelings that touch the heart and are catchy. Instead of dedicating a reggaeton, as they do today, you should dedicate one of these beautiful songs, songs that are worth listening to. At the end of this post I will leave you a list of old songs to dedicate.
Hay algunos artistas como Vicente Fernández, que son muy reconocidos y particularmente, amo las canciones de ese señor, mi papá solía poner canciones de él en el carro mientras íbamos a buscar a mi mamá al trabajo, de tanto que las escuché me las aprendí de memoria y como era costumbre, las cantaba a todo pulmón ya que me las sabía.
There are some artists like Vicente Fernandez, who are very well known and I particularly love his songs, my dad used to play his songs in the car while we went to pick up my mom from work, I learned them by heart and as usual, I sang them at the top of my lungs because I knew them.
Selena es otra de mis favoritas, quizás solo conozco sus canciones más famosas, pero son una joya. Esa de: Amor prohibido, Biri Biri Bom Bom y Como la flor, son mis favoritas, con canciones como esas si provoca cantar y mover el esqueleto. Cuando salió la serie de Selena en Netflix, todos en familia la vimos, no conocía mucho de su historia, pero luego de ver esa serie, me volví fan de esa mujer.
Selena is another one of my favorites, maybe I only know her most famous songs, but they are a gem. That of: Amor prohibido, Biri Biri Bom Bom and Como la flor, are my favorites, with songs like those if provokes singing and moving the skeleton. When Selena's series came out on Netflix, all of us in the family watched it, I didn't know much about her story, but after watching that series, I became a fan of this woman.
Ana Gabriel y Rocío Dúrcal, con sus canciones de señora despechada, aunque no te hayan roto el corazón, escuchar una de sus canciones te hace meterte en el papel de sufrida y si te pones a cantar, no hay nadie que te pueda detener, yo disfruto cantando sus canciones, ideales para cuando te toca limpiar la casa y estás sola. Cuando las vecinas ponen a todo volumen una canción de estas señoras, es para mí inevitable ponerme a cantar.
Ana Gabriel and Rocío Dúrcal, with their songs of scorned ladies, even if they have not broken your heart, listening to one of their songs makes you get into the role of suffering and if you start singing, there is no one who can stop you, I enjoy singing their songs, ideal for when you have to clean the house and you are alone. When the neighbors play a song of these ladies at full volume, it is inevitable for me to start singing.
Hay miles y miles de cantantes buenos, para diferentes gustos y con diferentes ritmos, como mencioné soy muy mala con los nombres, pero con la ayuda de mis padres logré encontrar algunos de los que más me gustan. There are thousands and thousands of good singers, for different tastes and with different rhythms, as I mentioned I am very bad with names, but with the help of my parents I managed to find some of the ones I like the most.
