What is the process to create an original song? Is the melody born first or is harmony born first?
I think the answer to this question depends on each songs. In some cases (like yours) the chords/Chord progression inspire you to create a wonderful melody. In another case, you create the melody and then you fix harmony/chords. Yet, there are other cases where you write down the lyrics and then try to find a suitable tune for the lyrics. Every composition is unique and lovely in its own developmental style.
