Hello friends of Hive! Today I want to share with you this cover I did as a singing practice. Natalia Lafourcade is one of my favorite singer-songwriters for many reasons, she not only has a very special voice, knows how to play several instruments, and writes beautiful songs full of feeling, but she is also the #1 fan of folk music from all over Latin America, so, although many of her songs are pop songs, they are often enriched with elements of the various musical genres native to these lands. In addition, his lyrics, as I said before, are loaded with a lot of feeling.
Hola amigos de Hive! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes este cover que hice como práctica de canto. Natalia Lafourcade es una de mis cantautoras favoritas por muchas razones, ella no solo tiene una voz muy especial, sabe tocar varios instrumentos, y escribe canciones bonitas y llenas de sentimiento si no que además es fan n°1 de la música folclórica de toda Latinoamérica, así, aunque muchas de sus canciones son del género pop, suelen estar enriquecidas con elementos propios de los diversos géneros musicales oriundos de estas tierras. Ademá, sus letras, como dije antes, están cargadas con mucho sentimiento.
This song describes a situation that many of us have gone through, of loving and being with someone who does not suit us, who hurts us, who does not love us or value us as we do, and how ambiguous someone's behavior being in a relationship like that, that she/he knows it is not right but it is difficult for her/him to leave. The good thing is that at the end of the letter the final decision is declared to forget that person who is not willing to be with her and be faithful to her.
Esta canción describe una situación por la que muchos hemos pasado, de amar y estar con alguien que no nos conviene, que nos hace mal, que no nos quiere ni nos valora como nosotros a ellos, y lo ambiguo que puede ser el proceder de alguien que está en una relación así, que sabe que no está bien pero le cuesta irse. Lo bueno es que al final de la letra se declara la decisión final de dejar en el olvido a esa persona que no está dispuesta a estar con ella y serle fiel.

Something that made me a little funny is that I read somewhere in an interview that this song came to Lafourcade and Maria Daniela Azpiazu Tamayo's mind while they were having a few drinks, and I think it shows in the whole song, which comes out quite a bit of spite and the sincerity and transparency that a couple of drinks can inspire😅
Algo que me hizo un poco de gracia es que leí por ahí en una entrevista que esta canción se les vino a la mente a Lafourcade y a Maria Daniela Azpiazu Tamayo mientras se bebían unos tragos, y creo que se nota en toda la canción, que sale bastante del despecho y la sinceridad y transparencia que te pueden inspirar un par de copas😅
