We're into the last set of Tuesdays for the year 2025, and God has it been a year.
I've been through a lot personally, depressive episodes, thoughtful ones and some full arcs that just shouldn't be starred by an under 21 year old😔
Regardless, true to my character, I've been listening to quite a lot of songs and this last arc of the year it's just going to be something like a review; I have no plan, no theme and I'll just swang on till the year ends. Whichever way the wind blows.
In a Week ~ Hozier ft Karen Crowley
The Album Hozier isn't something I thought I'd relisten to and actually fall in love with after I gave it a run through earlier in January.
This year has been stained by a lot of things, but in the extremities we have death and love and so do we have in this song.
In a Week by Hozier and Karen Crowley, a song about two corpses rotting side by side.
Falling in love as they fall to nature.
PTSD ~ Dreamville
Looking back and reminiscing. That's the theme for this last bit of the year.
A few days ago I managed to note something trivial that urged me to carry on. Despite how this year was with its trials and tribulations.
And the trials and tribulations did come with intent!
I realized that despite all that I'm a whole way ahead of how I was last year.
Infact almost 8x ahead. Just moving on, building and learning.
Castle on the Hill ~ Ed Sheeran.
Weirdly enough, this is the first time I'm listening to this song in full😂😂
I do know of how popular it is, I knew the chorus from edits and AMV's and what made me listen to it just now was because I heard a verse on the radio in public transport and just quickly managed to shazam it.
I've already had it in mind to add it to this post but now that I've listened I can tell it fits just in with everything.
In my Final Years, a few of my friends graduated this year, some already serving and few getting married or in plans to.
I'm still me, I'm still watching, and remember when we were in the same class, same hostel in secondary school, terrorizing the girls and our hostel masters😂😂
We've scattered now and meet sparsely or only over long phone calls yet the memories remain😂✨
First week of December, 2nd Day and it's a Tuesday!!
As always I'll be here to drop 3 songs for @ablaze's #threetunetuesday initiative
Chose PTSD as the post title, don't really know why, just did it on a whim😂😂
I wonder which tune y'all like the most?
