I wanted to post this into the music community as there might be other artists in a similar situation or be posting on several platforms. By this, I mean:
- Facebook Personal account
- Facebook Business account (for music related posts)
I had both, and now, they are both gone! Without a trace, vanished, deleted, removed from the ether!
What happened? Well, it is all explained in the video but here is a short over view
- Hackers reset my email
- Facebook deleted all of my accounts
- Facebook didn't provide any support or way for me to appeal
- My bank account info was leaked and money was stolen
Thankfully, my bank was able to refund me the stolen money, so that was great. But, my profiles have gone. By the way, I didn't really use (or like) Facebook but I didn't want my accounts deleted. It was useful for sharing music and I had many contacts from over the years.
Why HIVE is so much better:
- MUCH better music community
- Own out accounts and several keys for security reasons
- Growing fast
- The rewards, of course!:)
So, now I have had all of my accounts deleted from Facebook, HIVE is (already was) my main blog and video page! I do still use Instagram and YouTube just for reach, but hey!

Oh brother, how sad that you lost your Facebook account. A few years ago, I went through something similar with my Instagram account, and my email. Fortunately, I was able to recover the account in time. Many of my contacts were victims of scams but without success. Undoubtedly, the Hive Blockchain is shielded and one can feel more secure.

Thank you! I sure hope so too, and I did often scan for malware, I also had 2FA which is confusing to me how it all happened. It has been happening to many people with a business facebook account, so maybe it is easy for them to get in. I think/hope I have resolved the bank issue now. Also downloaded a VPN and new antivirus.
If you want to be extra careful, you can use a Linux live cd for your banking and such too. I hope you have had a better week!

That sucks. I've never had an account hacked like that, but it would be inconvenient. I have all the 2FA stuff on, but now I can't log into Messenger on my new phone :( FB is going downhill fast with lots of spam ads.
Musicians definitely need to get onto Hive where they have control. We need to get the word out.

Yep I am trying to get the word out, ironically I would often post on facebook page about hive, but you are right it is going downhill fast and everyone is leaving. On my business page I used to go 10s of scam messages weekly, it was ridiculous. But for musicians, it was 'required' to have a business account to run ads through... all of my new releases are going to feature of hive first before anywhere else now :) I am actually just uploading new music previews and will have more BTS studio footage here
I deleted my (personal) FB myself like 10 years ago...now i'm "only" shadow-banned on YT & IG. I wanna do more on Hive again, too.
Just for the DJing, YT is the only platform with an automatic copyrights management/check, if i mix tunes from other people...
