There is nothing better than making music with people you admire and appreciate. A few weeks ago I had the visit of my friend Manuel Vilera @maenviher, who came to Caracas from Las Mercedes del Llano in Guarico state.

Manuel es un joven compositor, cuatrista y violinista muy talentoso, se ha destacado por reconocimiento por la participación en el “X Festival La Siembra del Cuatro” (2019). Reconocimiento por su participación con la obra "Toccata Criolla" para Piano solista y Orquesta Sinfónica en la “10ma edición en el Concurso El Piano Venezolano”, mención composición. Mejor Propuesta Original en el “XI festival La Siembra del Cuatro” (2020).
Manuel is a very talented young composer, cuatrista and violinist, he has been highlighted by recognition for the participation in the "X Festival La Siembra del Cuatro" (2019). Recognition for his participation with the work "Toccata Criolla" for Piano soloist and Symphony Orchestra in the "10th edition in El Piano Venezolano Contest", composition mention. Best Original Proposal in the "XI festival La Siembra del Cuatro" (2020).

La pieza que traemos para ustedes esta semana es un merengue venezolano del maestro José Antonio "toñito" Naranjo, reconocido flautista y miembro del ensamble de música popular "El Cuarteto". Una pieza muy pícara y divertida.
