22nd of March: International Water Day and my music video and cover Tears for Fears "Rivers of Mercy"

in Musiclast month (edited)

The world is in turmoil as we observe it with a half- broken hearts... will we ever learn? Dare we imagine a deeper understanding? Rivers of Mercy is a song about grief, and also about loss and redemption, about the need of healing. Love is always the answer, fall backwards in to its healing waters and be embraced by its tranquility. May this song be of comfort in these difficult times. There's so much going in the world right now that's impossible not to feel disoriented and lost and threatened, there's so much horror we witness, there's so much injustice and unrest. This song belongs to Tears for Fears album "The tipping Point" (2022) and help me navigate through grief, hope and acceptance. Drop me in rivers of mercy, please.

LYRICS IN THIS EXCERPT:

Rivers of Mercy is a song written by Tears for Fears for their 2022 album "The Tipping Point" and sung by Roland Orzábal.
In my video I only sing some of its verses which are:

If by magic, you mean the ocean
If by tragic, you mean the end
We weren't wrong, we were just hungry
For manna from Heaven
So come and drown me in the infinite sea
Drop me in rivers of mercy, yeah
Dare I imagine some faith and understanding?
Drop me in rivers of mercy, yeah
Bring out the dead tonight
And bathe them in your sacred light to
Wash away the pain
Save me from the shadows, yeah
Cry like a siren, the light on my horizon
Drop me in rivers of mercy, yeah

And though I make my own original music, this is a tribute cover, so please always check the originals, The Tipping Point by Tears for Fears is an amazing album
ps. This was made as a request from one of my patrons at https://patreon.com/yidneth who had been so supportive and kind to me. She told me several times she'd love me to sing this one, and as I love it too I decided to surprise her. It's a song that really triggers an emotional reaction in me.

It's piercing and a bit aching and seems to capture the trouble and murkiness the world is going through today, but also of our own personal fights, just longing to be embraced by clear water almost like a baptism of decency and clarity. I want to turn of the TV and news, pay heed to my own body and its need to heal. Fall backwards into the clear waters.

I wish for clarity and peace.

My Tears for Fears tributes

Tears for Fears is my favourite band. It was on my mixtape when I grew up and ever since. Right after the pandemic and they released a new album after a long time and I have listened to it so much. Though I compose my own original music sometimes I find so much healing in other's :) and they're my go-to.
Here is my mini-playlist with some of the Tears for Fears tributes I've recorded so far, including Mad World, The Tipping Point, and more. Rivers of Mercy stands as teh seventh one :) of this ongoing little section on my channel.

22nd of March is WORLD WATER DAY

RIVERS OF MERCY (5).gif

World Water Day is celebrated annually on March 22nd. It originated from the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, being then ratified by the United Nations and first celebrated in 1993. Since then every year we commemorate the importance of water and most importantly fresh water and water supply, advocating for sustainable management, access to drinking water, pollution, climate change and more.
On this special date let us reflect on the profound significance of this life-sustaining element.
And as this video and song shows in the gentle flow of a babbling brook lies the essence of clarity and purity, a testament to the pristine beauty of nature's gift.
WATER IS LIFE
May it flow clear...

And by the way yesterday, 20th of march was Spring Equinox and 21th of March was World Forest Day, so this video is also my farewell to winter as all new leaves unfold. Waking from dormancy and into clearer days

As always find the 3 ratties in the video

As you already know I always hide my "fufunchis" in the video. This is an ongoing "Easter Eggs" game (by the way Spring Equinox is Ostara, that's where it comes from)
In this video they're quite difficult to spot but I assure you they're all three hidden there in some stills of the video :) (pro level this one)

I read and upvote all significant feedback, so please let me know what you think. Thanks always to all the community for supporting my music. I know I drop articles slowly but I take time to weave my craft and I hope you at least find it worth the wait. :) 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔

Had no clue there was an International Water Day but it does make sense to have it celebrated since it's such important and definitely a bliss of nature.

Indeed, we are in fact mostly water, also the sing is about "cleaning and clearing" from all the ugliness in the world. Healing waters

Wow
I never knew about world water day
Water truly needs to be celebrated because we can’t go a day without using water

Indeed, plants, animals, all life is sustained by it.

I myself did not know that this day is celebrated but I will say that this day must be celebrated all over the world because without water we cannot live even a day.
