Hello dear friends,
I had put one of our two cars out of service for the last 2 years because I simply didn't need it anymore, since I do most of my work with my ebike anyway. However, it is not necessarily always so great if you do not move a car for too long. In order to avoid a breakdown, for example, I registered the 1.9 liter pump nozzle diesel again. However, as expected, the battery was completely drained.
So I was more or less stranded. This had the consequence that I was allowed to start a good 6-8 km from the garage of my parents-in-law by pedes home. However, I enjoyed the way home and also made a few - hopefully beautiful - photos, which I will now post here.

ich hatte eines unserer beiden Autos in den letzten 2 Jahren still gelegt, weil ich es einfach nicht mehr benötigte, da ich sowieso das meiste mit meinem ebike erledige. Allerdings ist ja nicht unbedingt immer so toll, wenn man ein KFZ zu lange nicht bewegt. Um einen Standschaden z.B. vermeiden habe ich den 1,9 liter Pumpe Düse Diesel wieder angemeldet. Allerdings war leider erwartungsgemäß die Batterie völlig tiefenentleert.
Ich war also mehr oder weniger gestrandet. Diese hatte zur Folge, daß ich gut 6-8 km von der Garage meiner Schwiegereltern per Pedes nach Hause antreten durfte. Ich habe den Heimweg allerdings genossen und auch ein paar - hoffentlich schöne - Fotos gemacht, die ich nun hier posten werde.

Das ist mein Weg gewesen. Immer am Main entlang und dann gaaaaanz da hinten noch links um die Ecke und ein paar km weiter... ;-)
The way led me in beautiful North Sea weather (unfortunately without sea ;-) ) - sunny and was, but with a strong cool wind - past the Wertheim landmark - the castle. Below the castle, on the edge of the marketplace, stand side by side the Protestant collegiate church and the Kilians chapel.

Der Weg führte mich bei wunderschönem Nordseewetter (leider ohne Meer ;-) ) - sonnig und war, aber mit einem kräftigen kühlen Wind - am Wertheimer Wahrzeichen vorbei - der Burg. Unterhalb der der Burg, am Rande des Marktplatzes, stehen nebeneinander die evangelische Stiftskirche und die Kilianskapelle.
From the place where the Tauber flows into the Main river, you can take a very good picture of the "Spitzen Turm" (= Spike Tower). The Spitze Turm welcomes all motorists coming to Wertheim from the west via the Odenwald Bridge.

Von der Stelle aus, an der die Tauber in den Main mündet, kann man sehr gut den "Spitzen Turm" fotografieren. Der Spitze Turm begrüßt alle Autofahrer, die über die Odenwaldbrücke von Westen aus nach Wertheim kommen.
From the bike path of the left bank of the Main, I photographed the Bavarian Kreuzwertheim. There are some bays with sandy beach there, which are used by children for swimming in the Main.

Vom Radweg des linken Mainufers aus habe ich das bayrische Kreuzwertheim abgelichtet. Es gibt dort einige Buchten mit Sandstrand, die von Kindern zum Baden im Main genutzt werden.
Arrived in the district of Bestenheid, I also made a small detour to the Wertheim campsite. It is located directly next to the very beautiful Wertheim outdoor pool and is also used for decades by many guests from Holland. From the campsite I have it only a good 3km home. For the open-air swimming pool I have solved this year also again a yearly map for the whole family. In the last two years I was almost only at the two nearby quarry ponds. Of course, we will visit them again this year. It's nice to have variety. I like swimming in the lakes a little better - at least during the time when we don't have a blue-green algae plague yet.

Im Ortsteil Bestenheid angekommen, habe ich auch mal einen kleinen Abstecher auf den Wertheimer Campingplatz gemacht. Er liegt direkt neben dem sehr schönen Wertheimer Freibad und wird seit Jahrzehnten auch von sehr vielen Gästen aus Holland genutzt. Vom Campingplatz aus habe ich es nur noch gut 3km nach Hause. Für das Freibad habe ich dieses Jahr auch wieder eine Jahrekarte für die ganze Familie gelöst. In den letzten beiden Jahren war ich ja fast nur an den beiden nah gelegenen Baggerseen. Diese werden wir natürlich auch dieses Jahr wieder aufsuchen. Es ist schön, wenn man Abwechslung hat. Mir gefällt das Baden in den Seen etwas besser - zumindest in der Zeit, in der wir noch keine Blaualgenpest zu verzeichnen haben.
