I have to admit that if there was one thing missing in this house and on this plot of land, it would be a piece of water in the form of a large pond or a small lake...! So of course with water comes a lot of life and just Life itself, but also different considerations.
Let's imagine that the pond is placed above your house, potentially, the water could seep into the foundations of your house... and then water inevitably creates a risk with animals or small children.
But why approach this subject through the prism of the worries it could cause rather than through the positive aspects, which were really the source of this article and the contemplation from which the images came ? I think that as I'm also a technically minded person, I always tend to think about the practical and tangible features.
Sometimes before daydreaming, but it's also good that simple daydreaming and pure contemplation come back to the fore... And I hope that even after such an introduction, which in no way resembles poetry, you'll find the sensitivity within you to see these images with your soul rather than your mind!
In any case, having said that, that's what I tried - without forcing myself ! - to do that.
It's the pond of one of our neighbours and it just so happened that I was trying to talk to her while she was out gathering wood and I had my camera with me. Just goes to show, the stars - or rather the water spiders - were aligned ^^ !
I'd like to point out that no water spiders were martyred during this photoshoot. In fact, they must have been hibernating as I didn't see a single one on the surface of this mirror-smooth water.
All around, but even more so where we were standing, the ground was covered in autumn leaves. I didn't try to find out what species of tree these leaves came from, so coloured in a wide range of reds, yellows and oranges, but I'm sure one of you will come up with the answer...
There are lots of ways to observe a pond, and if you need to go beyond simple observation, towards photography for example, you can see that you are instantly limited by the lens mounted on your camera body. In this case, it's a 35mm lens from Nikon and it's fitted to a camera from the same manufacturer, a D5500 to be precise.
But for those of you who follow my articles fairly regularly, this clarification isn't necessarily necessary !
Should we take more account of the plants that border the pond and are reflected in it, above all the volume of water as the main subject, or rather the ecosystem as a whole? I know the answer to this rhetorical question, but I think it's always worth asking yourself and others these seemingly simplistic questions.
For nothing is as simple as it seems...
... and nothing is as complex as it seems either !
But perhaps we should simply avoid asking ourselves all these questions that are written and unfolded in such a deliberate way, and just enjoy the moment in a pure and disinterested way ?
In any case, if I were you and I'd read this article, I'd take the time again to just look at the images without the text - you'll see, it does you a world of good !

J'avoue que s'il devait manquer une chose dans cette maison et sur ce terrain, ce serait une pièce d'eau sous la forme d'une grande mare ou dans un petit étang..! Alors forcément avec l'eau, vient beaucoup de vie, mais aussi différentes considérations.
Imaginons que l'étang soit placé au dessus de chez vous, potentiellement, l'eau pourrait s'infiltrer dans les fondations de votre maison... et puis l'eau crée forcément un risque avec les animaux ou les petits enfants.
Mais pourquoi aborder ce sujet par le prisme des soucis qu'il pourrait causer que par les aspects positifs qui eux, ont réellement été à l'origine de cette article et de la contemplation dont les images sont issues ? Je pense que comme je suis aussi quelqu'un qui s'apparente à une technicien, j'ai toujours tendance à penser aux caractéristiques pratiques et tangibles.
Parfois avant la rêverie, mais il est aussi bon que la simple rêverie justement et la contemplation pure revienne sur le devant de la scène... Et j'espère que même après une pareille introduction qui ne s'apparente en rien à de la poésie, vous trouverez en vous la sensibilité nécessaire pour voir ces images avec votre âme plus qu'avec votre esprit !
En tout cas, après avoir dit ça, c'est ce que je me suis efforcé - sans me forcer ! - à faire ça.
Il s'agit de l'étang d'une de nos voisines et il s'est trouvé très opportunément que je cherchais à lui parlé tandis qu'elle était au bord pour ramasser du bois et que tout en lui rendant visite, j'avais avec moi mon appareil photo. Comme quoi, les étoiles - ou bien les araignées d'eau - étaient alignées ^^ !
Je tiens à préciser qu'aucune araignées d'eau n'a été martyrisée durant ce shooting. En effet, elles devaient hiberner puisque je n'en ai pas vu une seule à la surface de cette eau lisse et paisible comme un miroir.
Sur tout le pourtour, mais encore plus à l'endroit où nous nous tenions, les sol était couvert par les feuilles d'automne. Je n'ai pas cherché quelle était l'espèce de l'arbre dont proviennent celles-ci, si colorées dans une grande variations de rouges, de jaunes et d'orangés, mais je suis certain que l'un d'entre cous viendra peut-être avec la réponse à cette question...
Il y a plein de façons d'observer un étang, et si on doit aller plus précisément que la simple observation, vers la photographie par exemple, on voit bien que l'on est instantanément limité par l'objectif qui est monté sur son boîtier. En l'occurence, celui-ci est un 35mm de chez Nikon et il équipe un appareil du même fabriquant, un D5500 pour être précis.
Mais pour ceux d'entre vous qui suivez assez régulièrement mes articles, cette précision n'est pas forcément nécessaire !
Doit-on davantage prendre en considération les végétaux qui borde l'étang et se reflètent dans ce dernier, avant tout le volume d'eau comme sujet principal ou bien plutôt l'écosystème dans son ensemble ? Je connais la réponse de cette question réthorique, mais je pense qui vaut toujours le coup e se poser à soi-même et à d'autres, des questions d'apparence simpliste.
Car rien n'est aussi simple qu'il n'y paraît...
... et rien n'est aussi complexe qu'il n'y paraît non plus !
Mais peut-être convient-il simplement d'éviter de se poser toutes ces questions écrites et déroulées ainsi de façon volontaire et juste de profiter de l'instant de manière pure et désintéressée ?
Et tout cas, si j'était vous et que j'avais lu cet article, je prendrai à nouveau le temps de ne regarder que les images sans les textes, vous verrez, cela fait un bien fou !

How great to have a neighbor who has a beautiful pond on her property, dear friend @anttn, and how good that she can be close to it taking these beautiful shots.
