This is incredible! I heard they evacuated the beach and there were strikes down in PV??
Yes it was quite remarkable and rare as you know. We had these back east often. This was scary as we all go alerts on our cell phones saying to leave the beach and go indoors. I was on my bike up by Bel Air Beachclub, like 5 miles away.
You must of got a great workout biking back!!! Did you get stuck in the downpour? Where people evacuating?
I was trying to get hom before the lightning and rain! Had to take the car cover off and put up the tarrps!!!

I must have taken a hundred photos while my arm was getting tired. There would be 2 or 3 consecutive strikes and I would click when the 1st strikes and hope to capture the 2nd strike. It was so surreal watchign this over the ocean. Thank man!
I can imagine the effort but obviously, it was all well worth it :) Such a lightning festival over the ocean, this is something you don´t get to see every day. Maybe a few times in a lifetime actually :) Incredible phenomenon.
It is an incredible phenomenon.... Lightning is 5x hotter than the sun's surface... that's unfathomable!
Wow, I didn´t even know that... So how is that possible that some people survived a lightning strike? I guess this science is beyond my comprehension :D

Its funny we get pretty strong storms with lightning at least every other week. I cannot believe the guys that will be on a boat and fish through it...Lightning zapping around and they are holding up a pole!
Right! That is so crazy. I learned at an early age growing up in upstate NY... once you hear Thunder, get off the lake, baseball field, parking lots, etc...
