Greetings to photography lovers!
Photography is an art that I enjoy from the emotion that moves in me, when I capture an image that I want to make everlasting and that will make me remember, in the future, what I felt, what I thought and what I lived at the moment when I saved the photograph in my files.
It happens to me now when I review my photos from the past and they make me remember the magical moments when I took the photo and all the feelings and emotions that were frozen in that moment.
For this reason, in this new stage of my life, in which my present is a real gift that I open every day and surprises me with the details, I wanted to capture and save everything I find in my path to enjoy it with great gratitude in posterity.

La fotografía es un arte que disfruto desde la emoción que se mueve en mí, al capturar una imagen que quiero hacer imperecedera y que me hará recordar, en el futuro, lo que sentí, lo que pensé y lo que vivía en el momento en el que guardé la fotografía en mis archivos.
Me pasa ahora cuando reviso mis fotos del pasado y me hacen recordar los instantes mágicos en los que tomé la foto y todos los sentimientos y emociones que se congelaron en ese momento.
Por esto, en esta nueva etapa de mi vida, en la que mi presente es un verdadero regalo que voy abriendo cada día y me sorprende con los detalles, he querido capturar y guardar todo lo que encuentro a mi paso para disfrutarlo con mucha gratitud en la posteridad.
Since I arrived in this beautiful city, I think I have walked more than I have done in my whole life (laughs), I even downloaded an app to measure my steps and most days it shows at least 10,000 steps.
I have walked a lot getting to know the city, running errands typical of those who are going to settle in a new place and have to prepare the new home. I have walked for health and recreation, while I take the opportunity to contemplate and admire the mountain that appears with all its splendor and beauty as a guardian of the city on sunny days and is blurred on rainy days by the mist that descends slowly, announcing even more cold and rain.
I walk with my cell phone in my hand so as not to miss anything and capture the contrasts of this city that is unpredictable at times.
Desde que llegué a esta hermosa ciudad, creo que he caminado más que en toda mi vida (risas), incluso me descargué una aplicación para medir mis pasos y la mayoría de los días muestra al menos 10 mil pasos.
He caminado mucho conociendo la ciudad, haciendo diligencias propias de quien va a instalarse en un lugar nuevo y tiene que preparar el nuevo hogar. He caminado por salud y esparcimiento, mientras aprovecho para contemplar y admirar la montaña que aparece con todo su esplendor y belleza como guardián de la ciudad en los días soleados y se desdibuja en los días de lluvia por la neblina que desciende lentamente, anunciando aún más frío y lluvias.
Voy caminando con mi celular en la mano para no perderme de nada y capturar los contrastes de esta ciudad que es, a veces, imprevisible.
On sunny days, I love to walk and recharge myself with as much vitamin D as possible because most days, the clouds do not allow the sun to come out and you have to wrap up warm, because the cold is biting. I love the light and the brightness of the city. I love how Monserrate, the highest mountain in Bogota, looks. On those clear days, it looks perfect, green, imposing. From afar, I have captured it in these photos that I bring you today and I hope you enjoy them.
En días de sol, amo caminar y recargarme de toda la vitamina D posible porque la mayoría de los días, las nubes no permiten la salida del astro rey y hay que abrigarse bien, pues el frío es punzante. Amo la luz y el brillo que se percibe en la ciudad. Amo como se ve Monserrate, la montaña más alta de Bogotá. En esos días de claridad, se ve perfecta, verde, imponente. Desde la distancia, la he capturado en estas fotos que hoy les traigo y espero que las disfruten.
On rainy days, I also enjoy the city. Many times, I have been surprised by the downpours that do not stop their dynamic, and the coming and going of people makes me think and reflect on life itself. It is beautiful with sun or rain; life is beautiful, in spite of everything and you have to live it fully because it has light and dark days, happy days and sad days. All this is part of our existence.
Sometimes, my mood coincides with the weather of the city and I walk, I walk to enjoy its light or to relieve nostalgia and hide the tears, under the rain.
En días de lluvia, también disfruto la ciudad. Muchas veces, he sido sorprendida por los aguaceros que no detienen su dinámica, y el ir y venir de la gente me hace pensar y reflexionar sobre la vida misma. Esta es bella con sol o con lluvia; la vida es bella, pese a todo y que hay que vivirla plenamente porque ella tiene días claros y oscuros, días felices y días tristes. Todo ello, forma parte de nuestra existencia.
A veces, mi ánimo coincide con el clima de la ciudad y camino, camino para disfrutar de su luz o para aliviar la nostalgia y disimular las lágrimas, bajo la lluvia.
I leave you these pictures of my walks through Bogota. A city that I fell in love with at first sight and that every day surprises me pleasantly.
Les dejo estas fotografías de mis paseos por Bogotá. Una ciudad de la que me enamoré a primera vista y que cada día me sorprende gratamente.
Photography is a way to feel, touch and love something or someone.
When you capture something with a camera you do it forever.... reminds us of little things, long after we've forgotten everything.
