Kuibyshev watering and irrigation canal, Samara region, Khvorostyansky district. Construction began in 1969. The total length, according to the plan - 475 km. Part in the Samara region (279 km), part in the Orenburg region (196 km). In the early 90s, the construction site was abandoned, having built only 164 km. All in the Samara region. I don't know if the constructed part is functioning now, but most of the structures on the canal look abandoned. I drove along it for about 30 kilometers, almost to the beginning of the canal, everywhere the same thing - devastation. And how much money was invested in this construction is unknown.
