What In The Hell Is Going On?

The steady staccato of explosions hasn't gotten started quite yet around here but the increasing frequency of the intermittent booms and bangs leaves no doubt of what is coming. Speaking of booms and bangs, seems there was a big one out in LA the other day. LAPD's bomb squad must have been stoned, they managed to blow up their bomb disposal truck (article).

I haven't been paying attention to the goings on here on hive quite as well as I should recently but it seems there's been a few changes. The past few days I've noticed posts getting votes on the seventh day and until recently that almost never happened. I'm not complaining but it's got me wondering if there's been changes made to curation and how it's divvied out. Anybody have an answer or can direct me to a post that does? On a similar note, what's the situation with interest on HBD?

I've been busy with the bees and the purple coneflower, they've been having a time with the flowers and I've been having one playing with my macro lens. These photos are all from earlier today, had to go out and snap a few shots before it got too warm and everything started exploding again. It sounds like that's about to start again so I'm going to scoot on out of here and get ready for the evenings festivities.

Remember, fireworks are even more fun if you've been drinking!

There was a glitch in the curation reward department. If a post said $100 for instance, half of which goes to curators, and someone came along to vote on a post published before the hardfork, that voter would get the entire 50%, and those who voted before the hardfork lose all those curation rewards. Technically, nobody is voting on old posts. They're simply working to ensure an individual can't take the entire portion and keep it to themselves. Or in other words, there's money on the table and they're scrambling to snatch up as much as they can, with good intentions to boot. Something like that.

Ahh, gotcha. Good old hard fork weirdness...
Thanks for clearing that up!

Yeah. Hard to predict this stuff and it's minor hiccup, not massive, so whatever. Kind of funny someone with 20 HP could earn a buck or even $50 with the push of a vote button, depending on the post value. If nobody noticed, some would be getting rich, but since more voters come in after, they share the rewards a little more fairly I guess. The author portion was not affected.
