The is the last batch of photos from the trip to Longwood Gardens that has our faces in it. I will post the final part tomorrow that includes only images of the landscape.
I’ve saved some of the best for last. These photographs were staged in the Main Fountain Gardens.
Nowhere else in the world is there a setting that marries fountains, theater, and garden, establishing the Main Fountain Garden as the finest performance fountain in the world. As the culmination of the legacy and vision of Pierre S. du Pont, the garden combines classic landscape design with art, innovation, technology, and extraordinary fountains.
I felt as though I had walked backwards through 100 years of time upon entering the main fountain garden. The music that was playing instantly made me want to dance. If only there was a way for me to share the Live Photos on here so you could hear the sound. I’m grateful that I will be able to listen to those little snippets and remember this moment forever.
There was a very slight drizzle and the gardens were nearing closing time. The fountain/light show was happening while we were making our rounds. As you will see from the pictures, this place was tremendously gorgeous.
This was a proper farewell to both Longwood Gardens and my brother Chez and his lady Kristian. I thank them both for spending a great weekend with us. I wish we could do it more often.
Thanks for checking out my blog 👏
