After a couple of good hikes it was time to hit the road, and head back to our hotel. But first, the mountainside scenery was something to behold! Good thing I was able to stop by the roadside (and even on the road) and grab some nice photos. Some of these Waterton Lakes park roads really bring it! As I write these words, we are already planning a return trip to the area, perhaps this summer. There are at least four more decent hikes in the area I’d like to try out. Thanks for stopping by.

I love that third shot, what a picture! I always get a little nervous driving along those cliff faces as I'm afraid a boulder with my name on it might decide to break loose a the wrong time! lol So far so good, but I have known people who have had sizable rocks smash into the hoods of their cars while driving through those kids of places!
Glad to hear you are getting out soon, it feels good to get out into mother nature and get some exercise. The fresh air is always good for all of us!
Lol, but you know people who have had boulders fall on their cars? Wow, that would certainly make me think twice, but in the end it would not stop me from driving through. Maybe I should buy a hummer..
More likely when things are wet, rainy conditions and spring thaws will dislodge some big rocks. I usually avoid those areas during those times of years unless I have to drive that way!
My talented friend @daveks, you never cease to amaze me with your photos!... Here, all four photos are "the best photo"!... But I'll stick with this one in particular because it's so beautiful, so good, that I can't find the words to adequately describe it... Looking at it feels like traveling down that road!
Appreciate the kind words, glad there are others who love black and white photography!
I myself had been to the northern areas of our country some time ago in a similar way, which were much more beautiful, and I am posting about these places once a week, and I will post about them tonight as well. Those views were also quite memorable. There was a road and there were stones on the sides, and we were looking down at a large, very high mountain. We were at an altitude of nine thousand feet at that time, so there were quite large mountains, and the views were quite beautiful.
Interesting, will check out that post.
Nice shots! I like them both colored and black & white.
Thank you. Always like to display both.
You can get some great shots on the road, too bad often you can't stop as cars behind won't really be happy...
I did manage to catch a lull in traffic to get a few very quick photos!
Wow, it's so beautiful to get a view like this, it makes you forget the tiredness of the trip.
Yes, the fatigue is a distant memory with scenery like this.
amazing view, with great photo objects, thank you friend for sharing.
Always amazing when I visit the Canadian Rockies. Thanks.
Roadside photo spot is next-level
Thank you.
