It is finally raining in Havana. After the dust of the Sahara had passed through here, a few drops began to fall in alternate days, refreshing us from the intense heat of this unusual summer. The day passed with unrelenting sunshine, and suddenly, in the afternoon, it began to rain out of nowhere. Even though it poured quickly, we were all very relieved. When I say everyone, I include the plants in the garden and every little creature that lives there. The drops were still falling when I grabbed my camera and went outside to capture the joy that was spreading. And what do you think? I stumbled upon a parade of snails. They were everywhere, you had to be careful not to step on them. With their movements and their delicate shape, they made me watch them for hours. Here are some pictures of that day.
Al fin está lloviendo en La Habana. Después de que pasara por aquí hasta el polvo del Sahara, comienzan a caer en días alternos unas gotas que nos refrescan del intenso calor que ha hecho este verano tan inusual. Transcurrió el día con un sol incesante y de pronto en la tarde, de la nada comienza a llover. Aunque escampó rápido, todos nos sentimos muy aliviados. Cuando digo todos incluyo a las plantas del jardín y cada bichito que habita en él. Aún estaba goteando cuando cojo la cámara y salgo a fotografiar esa alegría generalizada. ¿Y qué creen? Me encuentro con un desfile de caracoles. Estaban por todos lados; había que tener cuidado para no pisarlos. Con sus movimientos y su forma tan tierna hicieron que me quedara observándolos por horas. Acá les comparto algunas capturas de ese día.

Does the dust of Sahara goes that far? Impressive!
We have a lot of it in Greece but we are relatively close. I know the feeling though!
Yes, according to the experts, thanks to the dust we won't have any cyclones this year. But it also brings with it a lack of rain.🤷♀

Jajaja pero niña, tu no sabes que las primeras fotos se hicieron con cámaras super rústicas, pero tenían tan buena composición y demás, que hoy en día siguen siendo grandes fotos. Hay incluso quien prefiere tomar fotos con cámaras antiguas para dar este efecto de descuido.
Si lo disfrutas sigue por ahí, ese es el camino 😉
