Such a nice day

I just got back from the zoo with my wife and daughter and it was super crowded. I guess everyone that didn't go camping during the holiday decided to go to the zoo today.

Most of the animals were not out, but at least there were some cool flowers and lots of bees to get some pictures of. The season is changing and soon all of these will be dead, so I figured it would be a good time to get some shots of them before that happens.

I am going to be going back to the zoo periodically over the next year to try and get some shots of the animals when they are actually out doing stuff. I will be cashing out some Hive and getting a new lens for wildlife too. It sucks trying to take pictures of animals with a 100mm lens. I am looking at the Tamron 150-600mm. I had the first generation of that lens when I went on my safari a few years ago and they have released a second generation since then that is pretty dope. One I get that lens, I will be doing a lot more wildlife photography.

Hope y'all had fun at the zoo despite the crowd. I always like the shots of the buds before they open like that second to last shot. It's interesting to consider the flower from beginning to end... and what could be all packed up in that thing before it unfurls.

Ya I like those types of photos too. Not many people take those kinds of shots and it is cool to see the flowers in their different stages. I like the dead flowers a lot too.

That movie was so good

You must be having fun with your camera!
I'll save up for one!

Love the photo of the bee! 😇

Reblogged!

Thanks
