Today I had a huge scare and made me think of what life is and what we are making it to be. I had a folder open and looked at the photos and saw a bunch of them are not posted, but when I had a closer look, realized I don't remember these artworks, even though the photos were taken on the 21st of August. It has not even been two months till then and I don't recall seeing these photos. If that is not shocking, then I don't know what is. Then I had a closer look at saw it was in 2023.
For a minute, this case made me think of what we remember, what we don't and more importantly, what we do to remember things and how we can obtain the desired results. For me, having photos of the exhibitions helps a lot as I can go over the photos anytime I want and when posting about my experience, I can refresh my memories and spend as much time with each artwork as I want.
This was a solo exhibition of Zsolt Simon, called "Image - Sign", a very strange kind of art, abstract I'd say, that makes you think and wonder what the artist wanted to say, even though each piece had a title.
This is a painting made in 2022 and it is called Bird. I tried to see, what the artist meant here, but I'm not sure I can. I mean I see two heads and if it's only one bird, which head is the real one? Or I am mistaken the two wings (on the sides) for heads? Regardless, I like it. It is abstract for sure, it makes you think, but I like it.
Four Elements
For those of you who don't know what the four elements are, here it is: earth, air, fire, and water. Now try to identify the four elements on the artwork and see if you like it.
I always take a few shots of the exhibition room, for you to see how it looks and have an idea about the style of the artist, if it's a solo exhibition. If I were to choose one word to characterize the style of the artist, I'd say unconventional.
Somewhere
At first glance I'd say this is some kind of pattern, but it is not. The title suggests it's a road, or a place, somewhere.
Did I say unconventional? Yes, I did. I hope you see it really is. While looking at these paintings, I was trying to figure out if I'd hang one of these on my wall. The answer is, I wouldn't, but I like them.
At first glance you'd say this is a ninja, but it's not. It's a Knight.
Self-Reflection VI.
Did I say unconventional? Yes, I did. This one made me laugh because it's kind of tricky and deceptive as well. When you look at it, you think you see the fire extinguisher in the corner, but that's part of the artwork as the wall behind the artwork is white. It's an optical illusion I'd say, a very good one, especially if you looks closely, it's in the head.
Now, the artist said it's self reflection, which makes you think of what is going on in the head of the artist. You see the clock, which symbolizes time, clouds, the fire extinguisher, which is meant to put out fires.
Image-Sign-Rite 7
Although I don't quite understand it, this would have a place on my wall, if I'd have unlimited space for art and funds, which I don't.
You most likely have noticed by now that none of the artworks are of conventional size and form. There's a frame, but there are always extensions that make this art special. The other detail that worth mentioning is the vivid colors and the bold shapes and forms.
Company-Dream Commando
I think I'll leave this to you. Let's see what you think, what you see here.
Image-Sign-Rite 3
And here's another one that I'll leave to you.
Feel free to tell me hat you think about these paintings and if, yes IF you have a favorite this time. I know, it's very unique and extreme if you like, but I like it.

hmm not really my genre, if i had to pick one i would pick
Image-Sign-Rite 3: i see a head out of the frame and an other head on the upper left, like animals, but in it's all i can't understand it lol
Company-Dream Commando: seems easy to spot, 2 soldiers, probably going to attack or fight, notice the angry face on the back
You chose a good one. I like that one too.
Looks like you see more than I can see 👀 😆
It's always interesting to read your comments and see how you see things.
Haha maybe I'm used to spot details around in general during life 🤣
Thanks, appreciate it!
This art exhibition is quite original, I liked the proposal because it leaves the conventional patterns and seeks to express itself in another way, breaking with the framework and the pre-established, thus seeking to conceive relief.
My favorite is this one:
It was quite extraordinary indeed.
Looks like this painting is the winner today.
They all have their essence, but this was the one I liked the most.
That is a good one. It's a bit rough, but good.
Very cool!

These works brought back memories of when I was studying graphic design. There was a technique I learned and developed where things seemed to pop out of the frames, and this art exhibition has a lot of that, as if the paintings somehow come to life. Yes, it's very unconventional, and I love it, although I'm not sure I would own one of these pieces.
My favourite is the one about self-reflection with the clock. At one point, I thought there was a mirror in the head and that the fire extinguisher was in front of the painting and was being reflected. Very interesting!
