Greetings hivers, I hope you are well. For a few years now both in my city and throughout Venezuela there has been a great movement of muralist art, the technique of decorating walls with colors or mosaics to capture images and give cities and towns a better appearance has given very good results and has received a great reception from the population.
Tenía tiempo queriendo hacer esta publicación, poco a poco he ido recorriendo la ciudad donde vivo para tratar de fotografiar la mayor cantidad de estas obras que decoran nuestras paredes y calles. La temática predominante es la histórica, pero también los hay con temas culturales, ecológicos y sociales.
I had wanted to do this post for some time, little by little I have been touring the city where I live to try to photograph as many of these works that decorate our walls and streets. The predominant theme is historical, but there are also cultural, ecological and social themes.
En vista que son muchos murales los dividiré en varias publicaciones. Espero los disfruten y me dejen sus comentarios.

Empezaré esta serie con los murales que decoran las paredes exteriores del liceo público nacional José Félix Ribas de La Victoria, el tercero más antiguo del país, fundado en 1875 como Colegio Federal por el entonces presidente Antonio Guzmán Blanco y decretado como Liceo nacional José Félix Ribas en el año 1949 por el Ministerio de educación. Obviamente es el liceo con la mayor matrícula de la ciudad.
I will start this series with the murals that decorate the exterior walls of the José Félix Ribas National Public High School in La Victoria, the third oldest in the country, founded in 1875 as a Federal College by then President Antonio Guzmán Blanco and declared the José Félix Ribas National High School in 1949 by the Ministry of Education. Obviously it's the high school with the highest enrollment in the city.
Este grupo de murales cubre toda la pared principal del liceo y se encuentra en la avenida principal, soy mala para deducir medidas 😬🥴 jajaja 🤦🏻♀️ pero es muy extenso, ocupa casi toda la cuadra y en el mismo están principalmente representados algunos de los más importantes próceres del país en combinación con mosaicos de llamativos colores.
This group of murals covers the entire main wall of the high school and is located on the main avenue, I'm bad at deducing measurements 😬🥴 hahaha 🤦🏻♀️ but it's very extensive, it occupies almost the entire block and it mainly represents some of the most important national heroes in combination with mosaics of bright colors.
Para hacer estas fotos me ubiqué en la isla que separa las calles de ida y vuelta, tenía que estar atenta a los autos y había bastante sol porque eran alrededor de las diez y media de la mañana. Anteriormente solían poner el nombre del artista principal que había diseñado el mural pero en la mayoría o en casi todos los que son nuevos no aparece ningún nombre. Bueno amigos, es todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado mi publicación y gracias por su tiempo.
To take these photos, I stood on the island that separates the round-trip streets, I had to watch out for cars and there was plenty of sun because it was around half past ten in the morning. Years ago they used to put the name of the main artist who had designed the mural but in most or almost all of the new ones it doesn't appear any name.
