I have seen so many beaches around Florida and obviously most of them are absolutely gorgeous but when I arrived at Clearwater beach, I knew this was hard to beat. There is one reason in particular why I chose this number one. Because it was the only beach that triggered a true WOW effect in me.
It was because of the vast sand area. This beach is so large, it just looks crazy, I had never seen a beach like this. The sand was also really white, which is different from most of the other beaches. It does not look that white from my pictures because the warm light of the sunset was all over the place. I went there the next morning and it's almost impossible to be there without sunglasses. The white sand area just blinds you.
The name of this place is Clearwater but I don't think the Mexican gulf coast waters live up to this name. The water really wasn't that clear and definitely can't compare with the bright blue water of the eastern coast of Florida.
West Coast of Florida is also home to sunsets that fall over the sea. You won't see that in the east coast, instead, you can watch sunrises coming above the ocean if you are willing to wake up very early.
This time however in Clearwater a massive cloud came over to block the sunset.
So despite the not so clear water, this beach gets the first place of all the many beaches I visited in Florida. I definitely would recommend going whenever you might visit the sunshine state.
Man that place looks fantastic, with beautiful sunset colors, made me imagine being there, with a beer in hand enjoying what the world gives us without asking anything in return.
Yes, it was amazing being there. Only the beer was missing 😃.

Oh, I was in states in February. Pretty sure they might be closed at the moment. Although this beach has so much open area that maybe there is no reason to close it.
Not sure logic plays any part in a lot of the lockdown rules; we are not allowed to swim off our isolated boat. Go figure
