RE: What I Got

It's good that you took this Nikon, because the photos came out really good. Especially those with a frame filled with forest and reflection in the water. You can get lost in these pictures. I hope you can make it to a beautiful golden hour next time. Greetings from Nikon user :)

Thank you :) It's a good place to get lost in for sure. I'll make golden hour eventually, even if I don't make it next time. Hey Nikon user! What's you shooting with?

Nikon Z6 the first one. But I hope to switch to Z6III in the future. And yours?

Ah, nice! I still haven't made the switch to mirrorless, out here running around with my trusty old D610 with the occasional assist from a borrowed D750.

Are you ever planning to switch to a mirrorless camera? I haven't owned any of the ones you mentioned. I previously used an APS-C Nikon D500 and was very happy with it. Sometimes I feel like it was better than the Z6.

With how most manufacturers have discontinued DSLR production, I suspect I will have to switch at some point. I've got nothing against mirrorless, just kind of invested in the F-mount at this point. I've heard good things about the D500, there's another photographer I run into regularly while out shooting, he was rather fond of his although he recently switched to mirrorless.

I understand. But you know that you can use the same lenses on a Nikon mirrorless camera. All you need is an F to Z mount adapter. So far, I only have one lens with Z mount and the rest are DSLR lenses.
