Yesterday we decided to take a short walk through the Paramo area especially near the town of Michelena, we left from Michelena and went through a fairly cool, natural area with relatively few villages, although the views are very beautiful and especially you can see large flower plantations, what caught my attention was a very peculiar site called The Sculptor's House, as you can imagine this is the home of a local sculptor with a great talent called Bayron Paz. Every corner and element of this small tourist site is undoubtedly very special.
Among the different sculptures and aspects that can be seen, the first thing that caught my attention was a large sculpture of who was a former president of the country and born in the city of Michelena, a sculpture with golden hue and a level of detail very cool and amazing, no doubt what impressed me most was the folds of the military jacket that carried the sculpture.
There is also exhibited an old motorcycle which in addition to having a very impressive style also has a lot of stories and is that with it the sculptor toured throughout South America reaching as far as Patagonia, just think of the number of roads that have seen that motorcycle makes you feel excited.
Something that tends to be frequent in places like museums or similar are the old typewriters, I have always loved these collections and personally typewriters have a unique feeling of nostalgia, at the same time you realize how much more advanced a machine seems over time everything will be a simple antique that less and less people can say that they used it.
Among all the sculptures there is one that called my attention particularly for two aspects, the first is that it is the only one that is not yet completed and you can see how there are still parts that are in process and the other is precisely the first and so far only Saint of Venezuela, Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, although there are still missing details to this sculpture for those who know its history, it is unmistakable his hat and trench coat and personally I really liked it and I look forward to seeing this work when it is completed. In the middle of an Andean highway I did not expect to find such an amazing and detailed art and sculpture site.
