My grandmother left the country three years ago, my grandmother is relevant in this story because one of the last activities we did together before leaving (apart from accompanying her to Maiquetía and saying goodbye) was to go all over Naguanagua, the city where I live, capturing the araguaneyes that were in bloom that adorned the main avenues. Of course, that was not what we were doing, the truth is that we were looking for medicines all over the city and we took the opportunity to take as many pictures as possible before leaving for her native Spain, after having spent the worst days of our lives (she lost a son, her husband and there was a national blackout that lasted for days).
Mi abuela tiene tres años que se fue del país, es relevante mi abuela en esta historia porque una de las últimas actividades que hicimos juntas antes de irse (aparte de acompañarla a Maiquetía y despedirla) fue ir por toda Naguanagua, la ciudad en la que vivo, capturando los araguaneyes que estaban en flor que adornaban las principales avenidas. Claro, no era eso lo que estábamos haciendo, la verdad es que estábamos buscando medicamentos por toda la ciudad y aprovechábamos de tomar todas las fotos posibles antes de marcharse a su natal España, luego de haber pasado los peores días de nuestras vidas (perdió a un hijo, a su esposo y hubo un apagón nacional que duró días).
The Araguaney was declared a national tree by Rómulo Gallegos in 1948, and although it is not a tree endemic to our country, it is spread throughout Latin America with different common names. However, if there is something that we all see with much love, is to see the yellow hills to see the trees in bloom, as these announce a prominent coming of the rainy season in our lands. These days last very little, at most a couple of weeks, so we must always make the most of these days to admire them and take pictures to remember them.
El Araguaney fue declarado árbol nacional por Rómulo Gallegos en 1948, y aunque no es un árbol endémico de nuestro país, porque está regado por toda Latinoamérica con diferentes nombres comunes. Sin embargo, si hay algo que todos vemos con mucho amor, es ver los cerros amarillos por ver los árboles florecidos, pues estos anuncian una prominente venida de la época lluviosa en nuestras tierras. Estos días duran muy poco, cuando mucho un par de semanas, así que siempre hay que aprovechar al máximo estos días para admirarlos y tomar fotos para recordarlos.
A few days ago, I had passed a couple of times by the main avenue and had seen from the bus the beautiful araguaneyes, and I had already scheduled a walk to take pictures and send them to my grandmother, so yes, gentlemen, these pictures were never meant to be published, they were a small gift for my grandmother.
Algunos días atrás, había pasado un par de veces por una avenida principal y había visto desde el autobús los hermosos araguaneyes, y ya había agendado hacer una caminata para tomar fotos y enviarlas a mi abuela, así que sí, señores, estas fotos jamás fueron pensadas para publicarse, fueron un pequeño regalo para mi abuela.
About a week ago I went out with my sister to do some shopping in a place that is passing by that avenue full of araguaneyes, and as it was noon, I knew it was not the right time to take these pictures because the temperature was terrible, but once the shopping was done I left the store and set out to walk. The sun was inclement, I could not stand it unless I was protected by a cap because I would have arrived with my face very tanned. But despite the solo, I managed to take some interesting pictures.
Hace aproximadamente una semana salí con mi hermana a hacer unas compras en un sitio que está pasando por esa avenida llena de araguaneyes, y como era mediodía, sabía que no era la hora precisa para hacer estas fotos porque la temperatura estaba terrible, pero una vez hechas las compras salí de la tienda y me dispuse a caminar. El sol estaba inclemente, no podía con él menos que estaba protegida por una gorra porque habría llegado con mi cara muy bronceada. Pero a pesar del solo, logré hacer unas fotos interesantes.
Another thing that was quite complicated when taking the pictures was to take a good framing of what I wanted to capture, because the sun was so intense that I could not see well the screen of my cell phone. Fortunately I took the pictures with plenty of space and was able to edit by cropping most of the photos and even removing some of the infamous wires that give us electricity. When I was approaching my house, I could find a beautiful scene that I took advantage of because there were no wires or poles crossed, as we can see in the following photo, which even has in the background the buildings that make up a famous shopping mall in my city and the apartments that make up my urbanization that gives a touch of nature in the middle of the city.
Otra cosa que se me hizo bastante complicado a la hora de sacar las fotografías fue tomar un buen encuadre de lo que quería capturar, porque el sol estaba tan intenso que no podía ver bien la pantalla de mi celular. Por fortuna tomé las fotos con mucho espacio y pude editar recortando gran parte de las fotografías e incluso quitar un poco de los infames cables que nos dan energía eléctrica. Cuando ya me acercaba a mi casa, pude encontrarme con una escena preciosa a la que le saqué mucha ventaja porque no había cables ni postes atravesados, como la podemos apreciar en la siguiente foto, que incluso tiene en el fondo los edificios que conforman un centro comercial famoso de mi ciudad y los apartamentos que conforman mi urbanización que le da un toque de naturaleza en el medio de la ciudad.

It is well known that the noon hour is not the best when it comes to taking pictures, these come out overexposed and very burned, however, there are things that can be taken advantage of, I think I managed to do a good job and even some backlit photos that are my favorites, like the one you see below.
Es bien sabido que la hora del mediodía no es la mejor cuando se trata de tomar fotos, estas salen sobreexpuestas y muy quemadas, sin embargo, hay cosas que se pueden aprovechar, creo que logré hacer un buen trabajo e incluso unas fotos a contraluz que son mis favoritas, como la que ven a continuación.
I loved this photo because you can see the bouquets of araguaney flowers well formed and quite appreciable and the beautiful and majestic shape of the sun king that was the protagonist of all this crusade.
Esta foto la amé porque se ven los bouquets de flores de araguaney bien formados y bastante apreciables y la hermosa y majestuosa forma del astro rey que fue el protagonista de toda esta cruzada.

I loved this unexpected outing to take pictures, and I am determined to do it again, but without using the default camera and get more into the PRO mode that my cell phone has, which takes excellent pictures and with which I should start trying once again to use all the things that in theory I know, because I have always loved photography, but I do not put them into practice because I am lazy.
As for my grandmother, I passed her the photos, she said they were beautiful and cut the phone, hahaha. I know she appreciates them, but she doesn't want to spend much time on the phone anymore.
Me encantó esta salida improvisada a tomar fotos, y estoy decidida a volver a hacerlo, pero sin usar la cámara predeterminada y meterme más en el modo PRO que tiene mi celular, que hace unas fotos excelentes y con las que debería empezar a intentar una vez más a usar todas las cosas que en teoría sé, porque la fotografía siempre me ha encantado, pero que no las pongo en práctica por floja.
En cuanto a mi abuela, le pasé las fotos, dijo que estaban bonitas y cortó el teléfono, Ja, ja, ja. Sé que las aprecia, pero ya no quiere pasar mucho rato al teléfono.

Hermosas fotos, me encanta la alfombra amarilla que se ve en la segunda foto. Demasiado espectacular la última foto, parecen algodones amarillos. Sin duda alguna, la naturaleza es el mejor antídoto contra el estrés.

Que bonitos se ven. A mi me encantan cuando en la vía, en las montañas uno puede observar muchos de ellos, dibujando todo el paisaje con su imponente Amarillo.

Justo ayer estuve tomando unas fotos a las 12 del medio día y el sol tan fuerte no me dejaba ver casi nada.
Para este tipo de post, es estrictamente necesario colocar las especificaciones de la cámara, con la que se toma la fotografía.
No soy experta tomando fotos, pero es algo que me gusta mucho. Mi teléfono tiene más fotos que otra cosa.
