I have already heard about it. And I have also cut many lavender plants while working in the gardens of the city of Zurich (CH). But when I saw them in the Alpes - Haute-Provonce (FR), I couldn't help but briefly interrupt my journey with my girlfriend to take a closer look at the wonderful lavender fields.
That's why I'm so enthusiastic about travelling by bus. Just stop in the middle of the road, wherever you want. And take some beautiful photos.
I took the photos with my Nikon D5600 or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and edited them with Snappseed.
Y haz unas fotos preciosas.

These are some amazing shots. I love lavender in general but there is something special about seeing the fields of rows and rows of those mature plants. That dance between purple and blue makes for some gorgeous shots. Great job sharing the beauty with us! I planted a few Lavender plants here in Sweden a couple of years ago and was just admiring the beauty of the flowers yesterday. So, i was happy to see your post.
Did the lavendar grow "in the north"...?...it was amazing to see this colors in real live.
Yes, they did. I think we have some Spanish Lavender and French Lavender. There are a couple that have been here for many years and then i planted a whole bunch more when i came. The Winter is very harsh here, even in the South of Sweden, as it is still 'the north' like you mention.
Not all of the ones i planted made it. But they were also pretty young when i bought them. So, the strong ones survived and have been thriving for a couple of years now. They aren't as well groomed and shaped as the ones in your shots... but someday when i have some land i will make me some of those beautiful globes!
So sad we don't have a scent function on the computer! I love the smell of fresh lavender. But okay, no smell but instead some lovely pictures. I can live with that! 😁
thank you for the compliment... and i think you don't need a scent function... only look a few seconds on the pictures, than close your eyes and focus the colors, think an the region of lavender fields... an than maybe you can smell the beautiful flowers.
Hahahahha! It works! Thanks for the advice 😉😁
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
