You or someone you know may have complained at some point about trying to plant a seedling and it simply not sprouting. You fertilize the soil, water it, worry about whether it is getting enough sun, but it just refuses to sprout. It's frustrating.
But what about when a plant simply sprouts without any direct human intervention? That's what happened here: a fern that is getting bigger, more beautiful, and healthier every week, which simply sprouted in a crack in a wall tile. Yes, that's right: it sprouted in a crack in the wall.
This fern makes me reflect on how nature dictates its own rules. Resistance and survival have their own path, and perhaps this serves as inspiration for us who, even in such favorable conditions, think about giving up and don't imagine that, in the most unexpected places, there may be a great opportunity. Sometimes I think I should be more like this fern and, if there is a crack of hope, of opportunity, grab it as if it were the best thing in the world, and sometimes it is.
Você ou alguém que você conhece já deve ter reclamado alguma vez de tentar plantar uma muda de planta e ela simplesmente não nascer. Você aduba a terra, rega, se preocupa se ela está pegando sol o suficiente, mas ela simplesmente teima em não nascer. É frustrante.
Mas e quando uma planta simplesmente nasce, sem nenhuma intervenção humana direta? E foi isso que aconteceu por aqui: uma samambaia que, a cada semana, está maior, mais bonita e saudável, que simplesmente nasceu em uma fresta de um azulejo da parede. Sim, exatamente isso: ela nasceu em uma fresta da parede.
Essa samambaia me faz refletir o quanto a natureza dita suas próprias regras. A resistência e a sobrevivência têm seu caminho próprio, e talvez isso sirva de inspiração para nós que, mesmo em condições tão propícias, pensamos em desistir e não imaginamos que, dos lugares mais inesperados, pode estar uma grande chance. Às vezes penso que eu deveria ser mais como essa samambaia e, se tiver uma fresta de esperança, de oportunidade, agarrá-la como se fosse a melhor coisa do mundo e, às vezes é.
