To be honest, I really love macro, but only photos that I see are well lighted and you can't see shadows at all. Even tho photo looks amazing and colorful, they look the same. I'm not against it, to be clear, I take photos like this but not every time. I love to create moodiness in photos, some strong contrast, one side lighted and one not, just to share with you how they look in person. They are predators, I'm talking about spiders, they have to look scary. :D By the way, this photo was taking just few minutes before I posted this to Hive. :D I've found him on my table, because outside is cold now and he had to find place where it's warm. :D
Please tell me what do you think about these three photos.

Photos really look different than macro in general. I personally love underexposed photos with shadows so this is a full hit.
I wanted to create that what you said and I think it came pretty good. Creating strong contrast photos are something that I love doing, especially in macro.

I think the last one is the best! Maybe some dust removal in lightroom for a more cleaner look!

I guess so. Funny story, while I was thinking what to photograph today and share on Hive, I saw this spider just running around my table where my pc is, so I just took photo of him, he was running away from me but I managed to take three photos out of 20 that were sharp enough. :D
