Children of that Afternoon

I had so much fun watching these kids doing something at the shore. Again, it's another day of low tide right here. A lot of people I found, of course, were searching for sea urchins to eat. It's not new but the fun was different. Most especially when I saw the children were playing. I was seated on the shore but it felt like something was pulling me to go near with the children.

I stayed for a long time watching them digging. I found out that they were searching for seashells, an oyster family-like. They used their hands only because the sand was soft.

Watching them having fun gave me an idea to take a shot of my phone camera. This one kid who I showed you at first was not a shy type. He was the one who showed a smile and came after I took a shot. Even most of them were ashamed to face me while taking pictures.

Here's a young lady who was ashamed to face but I looked in different directions so she wouldn't notice me taking a picture of her. This one next was the first one when she looked in another way.

It was fun watching them but I wanted to find another child. These 3 young ladies were sisters I saw walking while searching for sea urchins. I felt uncomfortable taking pictures with them because their mother was there. I just took a one-shot and left.

On another look, I saw a young lady searching for sea urchins alone. She didn't look at me this way because from what I observed she's avoiding me.

Even so, I took one photo of her not facing me.

Just like this another young lady who was eating. She was ashamed again that even though I spent time standing and waiting for her to look at me, she never did. I just captured her looking away and left. She was eating and I didn't want to disturb her. That small thing you'll see in that bucket was a sea urchin.
