I love to take shots at ponds, as there are always beautiful colors to be found.
This dragonfly might be a female Elusive Skimmer (Orthetrum rubens).
There is always something to be found for one's camera at a pond, and all that it takes is to sit and watch. Not many people do that, as they don't like to wait. And others move so fast that it scares the wildlife away. Life is in a rush these days, and time is now also in a hurry, but nature has its own style and rules. It's been here way before mankind, and it will still be here after mankind is no more. So, in my mind patience is the lesson for all of us.
Let's have a look at some water flowers, and I was glad to get the nice reflection below.
The pink setup was also a lovely sight.
And the third white show was also great to look at.
Just a last shot of the dragonfly on a different flower.
I saw this Cabbage butterfly (Pieris bassicae) in flight, and I presumed that its mate was a female in the grass below.
Maybe they had an argument, and she turned her back on him :)
He briefly touched her, but she did not respond and he flew away.
So yeah, the guy is in deep trouble with his mate, and I wonder how he is going to get into her good books again :)
Yes, I make up my own stories of what I see in nature, and at times I also like to include some humor. Nothing wrong with it, as it is all innocent, and it's always good for a smile. Especially now as it seems to me that this world has gone mad. It might be that Covid has instilled a fear and paranoia in many minds, as rational beings will never get up to things that are now taking place in the world. I don't know about you, but to me almost everything has taken on a negative status, and mistrust rules.
Nothing like this exists in nature, and it has a timeless existence. Lessons for us are in abundance, not only about patience but also in many other spheres of life. But no, we are all in a hurry, a rush to nowhere methinks. For us as humans, everything has an end, and it is what we do now that counts. Life is temporary and it is a gift. Just my way of looking at things.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Ah great shots and another refreshing taste of nature from your part of the world.
Not sure if you a lord of the rings fan but your closing sentiments remind me of the Ents. Taking their time, thinking and communicating things out, and encouraging everyone to not be so hasty. The older I get, the more I think I am turning into an Ent!
Glad that you liked it my friend, and there will be much more to come.
No, I don't know the Ents, but they sound like very wise souls, and it will be to your benefit to follow their ways.
