Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
It´s around midnight here in the Czech Republic right now when I´m writing this post, which is not when I usually post and I also know that this awkward timing might cause that many of my European fellow Hivers will miss this piece but as I mentioned in my Sunday post, I have been uncomfortably busy in the real life lately and I already know that the next couple of days or even weeks will be still like that so I simply have to take advantage of every free slot in my schedule to spend some time here on the chain, which is why I´m actually posting so late today :)
But enough babbling and whining, what do we have here? Well, views! But not your ordinary views. What you are about to see in this post are some of the finest, dopest and coolest panoramic views of Prague that one can possibly get to see! :)
It was actually just yesterday that I happened to visit the Old Town Hall, one of the most iconic architectural landmarks of Prague, the capital city of my Czech homeland. Dating back to as early as the 14th century, the Old Town Hall is located on the Old Town Square in the very historic heart of the city. Yes, it´s touristy and crowded and yes, I usually avoid such places but visiting the top of the tower with the lookout platform was something that me and my girlfriend had been planning to do for a very long time and we finally made it up there! :)
As you might remember, I have already published a bunch of posts with panoramic views of Prague from various spots around the city but I must admit that the viewpoints found on the top of the Old Town Hall probably beat them all. I hope the pictures below will speak for themselves. Enjoy! ;)
I hope liked the shots. I don´t know how come I ended up taking so many of them, considering that the lookout platform has just 4 sides, each facing one of the 4 cardinal directions, I guess I was so amazed by the views that I just kept clicking :D
I think we were also lucky in terms of the visibility, which was really good that afternoon and also the presence of the beautiful remarkable clouds up in the sky that made for some really cool background but unfortunately, the combination of the sharp and low autumnal sun and the dark dramatic clouds was a bit too much for my old phone camera to handle and I´m pretty sure that ShutterStock will reject the pictures (because they will not meet their quality criteria) so you guys here on Hive will probably be the only people to enjoy them :)
I should also add that the Old Town Hall is open every day and the entrance fee is currently 250 Czech Crowns, which is approximately 10 USD or 10 EUR. Besides the Tower, you can also check out some parts of the interiors and of the Town Hall, which we also did but I might write about it in some of my future posts ;)
WOW!! Nádherné, nádherné!!😍💫
A kdo mě tam vzal, hmm? Za odměnku :D :*
What a beauty, it's amazing how well kept the roofs are in that city! In many places you go up to look down from a height like that and most of the roofs are ugly or abandoned...
That´s right, you are very observant :) The Prague´s red roofs are actually quite famous, there are many viewpoints in the city where you can see them from :) Thanks for stopping by Sofia!
I imagine there must also be a lot of drones taking videos and photos of them, eh? is it allowed?
I do see drones here quite often but honestly, I don´t know anything about the legal part of it :D
In the Czech Republic, drones are prohibited from being used in the vicinity of human dwellings. Only with a special pilot's license and permission from air traffic.
You achieved stunning panoramic views of Prague, no matter what old camera you use the important thing is the eye and the touch of the one who handles it, good job. Greetings and blessings on your day friend @phortun
Thanks for this kind comment my friend, I´m really pleased by the great support and feedback that this post has got :) Saludos!
You are welcome, my friend, you deserve the recognition 👍
Who needs Shutterstock when we have Hive :)
Right :) In fact, I created my SS account pretty much at the same time as I did it here on Hive (Steem back then in 2017) and I still try to grow my portfolio over there but it has been increasingly difficult as they keep tightening up the criteria, which my old phone has a very hard time meeting :D :/ Time to get a new one, I know :)
I'm at loss of words. I have always wanted to visit Prague and now when I look at these beauties clicked my you, my heart longs more than ever.
Did you edit any of these pictures or they all natural? Nonetheless, I love these views captured by you
Thank you buddy! I hope you will make it here one day, it´s a beautiful city indeed :) Well, I do edit all of my photos but it´s mostly just some little adjustments such as cropping, straightening the horizon, a bit of playing with the colors, saturation, contrast etc.
Yesss. I wish to visit Pragueone day, the kind of travel freak I am, maybe I'll have this dream come true. Fingers crossed.
I'm new to this platform and luckily your post was one of the firsts I found in this community. The photographers really have raised the bar in this community. Hoping to drop few of my own as well.
ps: I have a lot of travelling stories to share. Surfing on Hive, I found out that I can share them on Pinmapple. Do you have any more communities in mind?
Thank you.
There might be some more travel communities here like TravelFeed but Pinmapple is definitely the biggest and most popular one ;) Welcome to Hive btw! I will stop by your blog to check out your travel adventures :)
Great work!! Really get the fell of the city. Love the exposure and colors.
Cool! I was happy to transmit the vibes of the city to you through the photos! Thanks for checking them out :)
Wow! What a cityscape. I imagined myself taking photo there, probably I would be sweaty having climbed there :)
You know I like such squares surrounded with old buildings very much.
I have good news for you my friend, there is an elevator in the tower :D We walked up there though and I was both sweaty and dizzy after the climb, not a good idea :D Glad you like the shots! Greetings to Turkey :)
Then, it is like in Budapest. There was a funicular. Thank you, selamlar!
damn these are interesting shots..
Interesting shots from interesting place :) Thanks for your visit!
Your pictures are really lovely, the beautiful area of the city and the buildings are very beautiful. well done
Thank you! It was a pleasure to share these shots with you :)
These are really cool panoramic shots! And the sky with the clouds completes the completeness of this composition in my opinion!
!PIZZA
Thank you! Clouds always make the composition more interesting than just clear skies :)
What you say about the perspective of the city of Prague is really beautiful, between the buildings that have almost the same roof color, really beautiful, especially the placement of the camera that fits and the results are more perfect. 😁🥰
Thanks for your kind feedback! The red roofs are a pretty famous feature of the city, that´s true hehe :)
great photography from the roofs of the buildings. high contrast image, that's cool
Thanks, glad you enjoyed this little photo collection! :)
You're welcome. Have a nice day
Its such a beautiful city - some fantastic architecture !!
Yeah, it´s like one giant museum of architecture here :) Thanks for checking out the photos.
What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing it with us. It made the world smaller for us to see the beauty of the place we can't see in real.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback, it was a pleasure to take you there :)
Welcome😊
Your photos are like a balm for the soul.
I often remember my journey through this amazing country and regret that
I saw so little of everything.
Many thanks for such wonderful views of this wonderful corner on our planet.
Thank you for these kind words :) Our country is small so you can see quite a lot of it in relatively short time. Maybe another reason to come back? ;)
All those red roofs look nice although I don't like that there aren't many trees in that city, ☹️ too much buildings together 🥴
That´s a good point but only valid for the very historic center, other parts of the city are very green, which is why Prague in general is considered a green city :) How about this or this? :)
Hmmm, I didn't know that Prague is considered a green city, that's cool! Well, I don't know very much about your city but I have always think about it as an old styled city with many old buildings and not much trees, maybe literature and movies have influnced my perception 🥴🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ sorry 😬
No problem :) And you are right, Prague is a very famous city as it´s one of the most popular (visited) cities in Europe and probably in the world too so there is a lot of pictures of it on the internet and everywhere and of course these are mostly the touristy spots in the center, the oldest buildings etc. However, Prague is also home to dozens of beautiful parks, forests, nature reserves etc. but these are not so popular with tourists so you won´t see them in pictures that often ;) And I´m sure it´s not just Prague. Krakow, where we lived before moving to Prague, is also very green, contrary to what most people think ;)
Wow! It's nice to know that Prague it's not only the old bohemian and romantic city but also a beautiful green place 🌳🌴🌲💚😁
