Why so much Bengali energy you ask ? Hahaha that's because your girl is writing about her Bengali themed photoshoot on today's hive post! So if you're wondering what my first set of words meant, that's how you generally greet in Bengali, meaning "hello, how are you?". And it's a general practice in India to greet people with folded hands. So back to my story, you're going to meet me quite often anymore.🤭 So here I am with another chapter from my life. I knew I wanted to write something. But like always, I wasn't sure on what. Finally decided to write on one of my most favourite photoshoots.
During the pandemic began my journey towards modelling that lead to quite a few shoots post pandemic. I hope it's safe to say "post-pandemic" now. This shoot was based on a Bengali tradition. If there's one tradition that I've always wanted to try, it has got to be the Bengali tradition. I'm still so curious to know about their culture and tradition in depth.
To top it all, weeks before this shoot I happened to watch the evergreen Bollywood movie "Devdas", directed by the very famous Indian director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali which was released in the year 2002. This is a very ordinary story of a Bengali family which is beautifully retold by depicting the right emotions. It'd not be wrong to call this movie as a work of art. I was taken away by Aishwarya Rais acting and grace in this movie. She rightly brought out the essence and emotions in every scene. For those of you who haven't watched this movie, which is most of y'all on this platform, I'd highly suggest you to watch this movie simply for its work of art.
Being inspired by her character in this movie, I knew I had to make the most out of this shoot. I had one of the most talented team of Photographers working with me on this shoot. You'll agree with me on this once you see the pictures. I was lucky to have my dear friend Ms. Akshatha Shetty, who's a renowned Make-up artist in Mangalore on board for this shoot who did an amazing job with the make up. Lastly, it'd be a sin to not give the location courtesy to my friend who lent his ancestral home (more like a mansion) for this shoot.

Thank you so much for showing interest and taking time to appreciate my post. It really was a task to achieve the light from the window picture, hahah. But now when I look at the final pictures, it's all worth it.
Also, I really wish I remember what I was looking at. But I was pretty much trying to pull this look. And I don't think I was even observant enough to make a note of what I was looking at.
But on a more dramatic note, like the movie itself is, I'd like my reply to be something like, "look closer in the eye, and you'll know what I'm looking at".☺️
