Entre la variedad de playas que posee Venezuela a lo largo de sus 3.726 km de costa por el mar Caribe y el Océano Atlántico, se encuentra la selvática belleza de las playas del estado Aragua.
To get there, you have to go to the center of the country, to the city of Maracay, and cross the Henri Pittier National Park on a road between the mountains with steep curves and lots of vegetation.
Para llegar a ellas hay que ir al centro del país, a la ciudad de Maracay, y atravesar el Parque Nacional Henri Pittier por una carretera entre la montaña con pronunciadas curvas y mucha vegetación.
On this occasion I will show you some images taken on my trips to Choroní, on the beaches of Puerto Colombia, Cepe and Chuao, places that are very visited due to the beauty of their landscape that combines mountains, rivers and beaches.
En esta ocasión les mostraré algunas imágenes tomadas en mis viajes a Choroní, en las playas de Puerto Colombia, Cepe y Chuao, lugares muy visitados por la belleza de su paisaje que combina montaña, río y playa.
I remember that the first time I went to Choroní was to celebrate my birthday a few years ago, then I came back a couple of times to attend friends' weddings and I also went on another occasion with my sister.
Recuerdo que la primera vez que fui a Choroní fue para celebrar mi cumpleaños hace algunos años atrás, luego volví un par de veces para asistir a bodas de amigas y también fui en otra oportunidad con mi hermana.
Choroní is a beautiful town founded in 1616 that has many houses of colonial architecture, with its narrow streets, square, church and quiet environment, about 10 minutes away is the town of Puerto Colombia, also with its old houses but more dynamic because the majority of hotels and inns are concentrated there as the boardwalk and the beach are close by.
Choroní es un hermoso pueblo fundado en 1616 que posee muchas casas de arquitectura colonial, con sus calles angostas, plaza, iglesia y ambiente tranquilo, a unos 10 minutos está la población de Puerto Colombia, también con sus casas antiguas pero más dinámica porque allí se concentran la mayoría de hoteles y posadas al tener cerca el malecón y la playa.
Although the main beach, Playa Grande, is very beautiful, it is not very suitable for bathing or swimming since the current is very strong, but there is the option of a dip in the river and also take boats to see other nearby beaches with softer waves like Cepe and Chuao.
Aunque la playa principal, Playa Grande, es hermosísima, no es muy apta para bañarse o nadar ya que la corriente es muy fuerte, pero está la opción de un chapuzón en el río y también tomar lanchas para conocer otras playas cercanas con oleaje más suave como Cepe y Chuao.
I did that the second time I went to Choroní, take a boat in Puerto Colombia and go to know a little further, so in a few minutes I arrived at Cepe, a small beach with calm waters, a paradisiacal landscape.
Eso hice la segunda vez que fui a Choroní, tomar una lancha en Puerto Colombia e ir a conocer un poco más allá, así en pocos minutos llegué a Cepe, una playa pequeña y con aguas tranquilas, todo un paisaje paradisíaco.
When I was there there was no one offering food service to visitors, so it is good to bring something to eat and drink. The boats drop you there early in the morning and come to pick you up around three or four in the afternoon, unless you agree on another time.
Cuando estuve allí no había nadie ofreciendo servicio de comida a los visitantes, por eso es bueno llevar algo para comer y beber. Las lanchas te dejan allí temprano en la mañana y te vienen a buscar como a las tres o cuatro de la tarde, a menos que acuerdes otro horario.
Another beach that I visited while in Choroní was Chuao, this place is famous for its cocoa plantations, 100% organic, internationally recognized for its quality. I took a boat in Puerto Colombia and in less than half an hour I arrived in Chuao, that time the sea was somewhat rough and the boat was jumping, it seemed that we were going to fly hahaha.
Otra playa que visité estando en Choroní fue Chuao, este lugar es famoso por sus plantaciones de cacao, 100% orgánico, reconocido internacionalmente por su calidad. Tomé una lancha en Puerto Colombia y en menos de media hora llegué a Chuao, esa vez el mar estaba algo alborotado y la lancha saltaba, parecía que íbamos a volar jajaja.
On this beach there are inns and restaurants, there is also the option of camping. One of its attractions is to visit the town and see how they process cocoa and also go to El Chorrerón, which is about two hours walking in the mountains, it is a waterfall of about 70 meters. A friend who was there told me that it is spectacular, I have to go back to meet it.
En esta playa hay posadas y restaurantes, también está la opción de acampar. Uno de sus atractivos es visitar el pueblo y ver cómo procesan el cacao y también ir para El Chorrerón, que queda a unas dos horas caminando montaña adentro, es una cascada de unos 70 metros. Una amiga que fue me dijo que es espectacular, tengo que volver para conocerla.
