As a teenager, I thought that I lived in the most boring place in the world, because I couldn’t want to leave the city limits. Then I spent 7 years in a megalopolis, in which, as it seemed to me, the dream of a life without borders, full of diversity and interesting places came true. But gradually I realized that I wanted to go home. That being too young, I couldn’t understand in what a wonderful place I was lucky to be born and grow. In fact, there were no borders and there was always where to go.
Have you ever thought that if you find yourself at the North Pole, you will have only three sides of the world to choose from? Or it will not remain at all and you will find yourself at the zero point of any coordinates. So, in ordinary life, wherever you are, all 4 cardinal points are always available to you.
In the morning I reminded myself of this fact and went on a small tour of my native lands. Was interested to see if spring has come into its own everywhere. I went towards the eastern mountains.
True indeed, one always wants to go back to the place they were raised. As a child you can’t wait to escape for there must be something better out there.
You’re a brave one, Northman, to climb these mountains, even a few meters, much less 500, when it is blowing the cold air of the Arctic. 🥶
Fantastic photos. The circle around the sun is an awesome shot. Here it signals bad weather is brewing…in a day or so a wicked storm is coming.
So nice to see cows grazing freely in the field and not always kept in the barn. My parents had a small farm with a few milk cows …being the oldest child, I used to milk one by hand before going to school. One of my many talents… 😆
👍 😊
it's so beautiful and looks horrible, like a rolling ball of ice
The things we do not appreciate as kids and when we grow we longe for and realise the beauty of it.
It truly looks so beautiful @thenortherner 😊
And I can imagine your surprise when you saw the cows. I am used to them in the countries I lived before.
Such a stunning landscape… raw nature… enjoy it to the fullest!
You are welcome @thenortherner 😊
I so see…. 😂
Have a great Sunday further.
Ok this place looks like paradise!! An yes, at the beginning and as a child you could see this place in some way, but now you can really feel its energy and essence. The picture with the sun, called my attention a lot!!
Hehe, well, I can't feel the temperature from here, hehe. But yes, I guess that it should be extremely cold. Oh! Sad that you have to leave the place, but thank you for that response.
I emigrated from my country and it's being difficult to recognize that maybe I will go back. What you wrote, somehow made me see that is ok to feel that need.
Have a good day!
I was also surprised by the grazing cowsI'd need to travel a bit more than 50 km but yes, Then I'd be either on the edge of the desert on one hand or in a tropical zone at the other end and to my North, I would find beautiful mountains where there is not even frost in winter
