The park on the roof of the Salesforce Transit Center was one of the most surprising sights of San Francisco for me. Especially the views from the park to the streets and skyscrapers of the city excited me. Directly from the park you can also reach the tallest building of the city and the second tallest on the American West Coast. I took this photo right in front of it, on the connecting bridge to the 236m tall Salesforce Tower (the white building on the right). On the lower left you can see the artsy steel covering of the Transit Center. For this shot I used it in combination with the railing of the bridge as a V-shaped frame for the traffic of 1st Street.
Der Salesforce Park auf dem Dach des gleichnamigen Transit Centers war für mich eine der überraschendsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von San Francisco. Vor allem die Ausblicke vom Park auf die Straßen und Wolkenkratzer der Stadt haben mich begeistert. Direkt vom Park kann man auch das höchste Gebäude der Stadt und das zweithöchste der amerikanischen Westküste erreichen. Dieses Foto habe ich direkt davor, auf der Verbindungsbrücke zum 236m hohen Salesforce Tower geschossen (das weiße Gebäude auf der rechten Seite). Links unten seht ihr die kunstvolle Stahlverkleidung des Transit Centers. Diese sowie das Geländer der Brücke nutzte ich in dieser Aufnahme als V-förmigen Rahmen für den Verkehr der 1st Street.

In the second shot again only a small part of the same skyscraper is visible. You can see its top behind the building in the middle. This photo was taken on a deserted pier at the port of San Francisco, near the Ferry Building. Only a seagull kept me company and watched me curiously as I tried to capture the mood of this place.
In der zweiten Aufnahme ist wieder nur ein kleiner Teil des selben Wolkenkratzers sichtbar. Ihr seht seine Spitze hinter dem Gebäude in der Mitte. Dieses Foto entstand auf einem menschenleeren Pier am Hafen von San Francisco, in der Nähe des Ferry Buildings. Nur eine Möwe leistete mir Gesellschaft und beobachtete mich neugierig, als ich versuchte, die Stimmung an diesem Ort einzufangen.
