Hey guys! I spent the last few days in London and tried a personal photography challenge this time. The task I set myself was to try taking creative and professional-looking pictures using only the main camera of my €200 smartphone. I'll show you what I came up with in this post. All photos come directly from my mobile phone, without post-processing.
Hallo Leute! Ich habe die vergangenen Tage in London verbracht und mich diesmal an einer persönlichen, fotografischen Challenge versucht. Die Aufgabe, die ich mir gestellt hatte, war, zu versuchen, kreative und professionell wirkende Aufnahmen nur mit der Hauptkamera meines 200€-Smartphones zu schießen. Was dabei herausgekommen ist, zeige ich euch in diesem Beitrag. Alle Fotos kommen direkt aus meinem Handy, ohne Nachbearbeitung.
Westminster & St. Paul’s Cathedral
I probably don't need to tell you much about the sights of London. Big Ben or St. Paul's Cathedral are probably familiar to almost all of you. I visited the areas around these attractions during my first smartphone tour and found some interesting angles. Shooting only in automatic mode, with only one single focal length allowed me to fully focus on the composition of the images.
Über die Sehenswürdigkeiten von London muss ich euch wahrscheinlich nicht sonderlich viel erzählen. Der Big Ben oder die St. Paul's Cathedral sind wahrscheinlich so gut wie jedem von euch ein Begriff. Die Bereiche um diese Attraktionen besuchte ich während meiner ersten Smartphone-Tour und fand einige interessante Blickwinkel. Nur im Automatik-Modus, mit nur einer einzigen Brennweite zu fotografieren, ermöglichte es mir, mich voll und ganz auf die Bildkomposition zu konzentrieren.
Tower Bridge & The Scoop
If you walk along both sides of the Thames in the area around Tower Bridge, you can admire how harmoniously historical and modern buildings in London blend into a unique cityscape. In my opinion, hardly any other city manages this so well. I also found interesting vantage points in this area and was able to watch a wonderful sunset. This time I also tried some handheld long exposures. The results surprised me very positively.
Wer an beiden Seiten der Themse im Bereich um die Tower Bridge entlangspaziert, kann hier bestaunen, wie harmonisch sich historische und moderne Bauwerke in London zu einem einzigartigen Stadtbild zusammenfügen. Dies gelingt meiner Meinung nach kaum einer anderen Stadt so gut. Auch in dieser Gegend fand ich interessante Blickwinkel und konnte einen traumhaften Sonnenuntergang bewundern. Diesmal habe ich mich auch an ein paar handgehaltenen Langzeitbelichtungen versucht. Die Ergebnisse haben mich sehr positiv überrascht.
Canary Wharf & Financial District
Canary Wharf is probably the most modern district of the British capital at the moment. Some of the architecture here looks really futuristic. Of course, I also tried to capture this photographically. Afterwards, I walked through the banking district in the city centre, which showed me another interesting face of the metropolis. How do you like my smartphone photos? I found it very exciting to see what happens to my photography when I consciously reduce my creative possibilities. Of course, I was also walking around London with my professional equipment. I will soon show you the pictures that came out of that.
Canary Wharf ist wohl aktuell der modernste Stadtteil der britischen Hauptstadt. Hier wirkt die Architektur teilweise wirklich futuristisch. Dies versuchte ich natürlich ebenfalls fotografisch festzuhalten. Anschließend spazierte ich noch durch das Bankenviertel im Stadtzentrum, das mir ein weiteres interessantes Gesicht der Metropole zeigte. Wie gefallen euch meine Smartphone-Fotos? Ich fand es sehr spannend, zu sehen, was mit meiner Fotografie passiert, wenn ich meine kreativen Möglichkeiten bewusst reduziere. Natürlich war ich aber auch mit meiner professionellen Ausrüstung in London unterwegs. Welche Aufnahmen dabei herausgekommen sind, werde ich euch bald zeigen.
