I know it is hard to take nice shoots in hideous places. This house here is just big and cramped at the same time. Usually, lighting doesn't make a favor as you already know. However, I recommend you take a look at the stacking photos technics. Lighting different places and composing together in the photo edit. It is about faking the atmosphere and in most places, there is a big lack of it. I don't understand why sellers don't take photos before emptying the space. The homey feel is selling not squares :)
