Mesmerizing drops

Hi friends! I’d like to share some photos I took yesterday in the greenhouse. I recently assembled it for growing tomatoes, and yesterday my wife planted the first seedlings. Earlier, I helped her carry in trays with young tomato plants that had already been started in small pots and containers. While doing that, I noticed something interesting: the entire inner surface of the plastic film was covered in large water droplets formed by the merging of smaller ones — condensation. The thing is, it had rained before we set up the greenhouse, thoroughly moistening the soil. Once I installed the frame and stretched the film, the moisture began evaporating from the ground but had nowhere to escape, since it’s still very cold outside — despite it being May, the average daytime temperature is only about 8 °C. The vapor condensed on the cold film, forming those droplets. I decided to photograph them up close — they looked almost magical: numerous, similar yet distinct, forming a kind of chaotic but organized pattern that catches the eye and even mesmerizes. Раніше я допоміг їй занести ящики з розсадою — помідори були посаджені у стаканчики й бокси ще раніше. Під час цього я звернув увагу на цікаве явище: вся внутрішня поверхня плівки зсередини була вкрита великими водяними краплями, які утворилися зі злиття дрібніших крапельок. Це — конденсат. Річ у тім, що ще до монтажу теплиці випав дощ, який добре зволожив ґрунт. Коли я встановив каркас і натягнув плівку, волога почала активно випаровуватись із землі, але через те, що плівка була холодною (а надворі досі дуже прохолодно, попри те, що вже травень — вдень у середньому лише +8 °C), пара не мала куди подітися і почала осідати краплями на плівці. Я вирішив сфотографувати ці краплі зблизька. Вони виглядають доволі фантастично: численні, подібні, але водночас унікальні, вони створюють хаотично впорядковану структуру, яка притягує погляд і навіть заворожує.
