The international date line (IDL) is just a human made up imaginary line in the middle of the Pacific Ocean which arbitrarily cuts through the Earth's surface from the North Pole to the South Pole. And in the case that concerns us according to the previous image, this human arbitrariness makes that two small islands geographically located barely 3.8km apart between them, they also have a 21-hour time difference between them establishing an imaginary gap between the past and the future in what is called Tomorrow Island & Yesterday Island. Both known as The Diomede Islands in the middle of the Bering Strait between mainland Alaska and Siberia.
Oh! and IDL is not Straight but Zigzags!
