We thought it was about time we revealed some more details about the upcoming "PRO map" extension to Rising Star!
The Biggie
One thing we had to confirm was possible is something we are very excited about:
Card Levelling!
As you can see from the image above there is an arrow and a number against specific NFT numbers. These NFTs have been levelled up and the level is stored on chain in the NFT data!
We have been working closely with NFTMart to make sure they can support card levels and they have informed us that it will require quite a lot of work but they should be able to do it.
This means you will be able to buy and sell levelled up PRO cards on the market!
Yeah OK, but why do we need to level them up?
Going PRO
Once you reach a certain point in the game (don't worry you won't have to complete all of map 4!) you will be given the opportunity to GO PRO!
You will have a decision to make. If you GO PRO then none of your PRO cards will be available for missions on the current maps and will only be used for PRO missions. Once you have decided there will be no going back so make sure you have thought it through, being a PRO is hard work!
PRO Map Features
We are still working on the finer details but here is how it is going to work:
- As a PRO you will have a roster of artists and you will create bands/solo artists using a similar interface to the current band management page but using only PRO cards.
- You will need to level up your PRO cards for them to be eligible to be in a professional band.
- Each artist you manage can release singles into the charts.
- To release a single you will need to carry out a certain number of missions to get the single ready such as (subject to change): studio recording, vinyl printing and distribution, digital streaming submission, PR tour.
- Once you have carried out the required missions for a particular artist you will be able to release their single
- The single will enter the charts at a level determined by a mixture of your artists overall level, the number of PR Tour missions you ran and some randomness.
- Every day the chart will be updated and as singles get older they will begin to slip down the chart.
- There will be a new reward pool which will pay out to the player of each single based on their chart position.
- Players can have more than one single in the charts by releasing singles from multiple artists in their roster but will have to carry out the required missions for each single.
We hope you like what you see and we are happy for any feedback as we still working on the details so you may be able to influence the way the PRO Map works.

How will Pro cards be levelled up?
Will this be done by combining cards or some kind of skill levelling done via missions?
This is my question! Combining cards would be intense, as there's such a low supply of PRO cards haha. But maybe that's the idea?
Unless to level a PRO card, you burn the "un-pro" version of it to create nice sinks for the millions of NFTs out there :D
I have to assume like most RSG burn/blend operations these days there will also be a STARPRO cost.
Yes there will be small STARPRO costs involved.
Via missions. Possibly pro music lessons that will level up the person and the instrument they are using in the lesson.
At last we got the sneak peak of the pro mission after waiting for so long . :). It would be awesome .

Can everyone participate in this Pro mission? or only for musicians?
Anyone as long as you have completed certain thresholds in the game.
I'm happy as long as it doesn't get as complex as Splinterlands.
Not everyone is playing for the rewards. Collecting cards is fun. I've just given up on rising in the player chart, but enjoying the game anyway.

I was left pondering on the sacrifice of leaving the 4 islands behind to advance in the PRO life, I guess there must be some sacrifices or efforts to be made, but, they can bring great rewards. I find it hard to imagine anyone regretting being PRO, but surely it can happen.
I had another concern, but surely it is the logical step that must occur. Perhaps with a single band, it is more than necessary to be able to produce as many singles the user wants. However, as the band levels up, perhaps the singles will be more successful, but leveling up gets harder and harder, therefore producing singles will be harder. That's where it comes into play, that the user can handle more PRO bands, because the more PRO bands, the more singles they can produce no matter if they are not as successful as the higher level ones. Is that the approach you want to give to the levels? I have only been able to get one band and would like to get a lot out of it.

If you go PRO you will only be sacrificing your PRO cards as you will still be able to run the standard missions with your non-PRO cards.
Regarding the levelling and the success of the band. We are still working on the details but it will probably be better to have more bands and level them up than have just one band. The idea is each band can only have one single in the chart at a time and the higher the level of the band the longer the single will stay in the charts.

As a "legacy" player I still don't get the whole PRO thing, you say that:

So this means I cant still keep playing with my regular cards? Is some sort of hidden game inside, kind like an "ascension" so you got reset and start on another different map? I love my collection and would want to keep using my cards and collecting more!
Its always hard to do some search on hive/Peakd networks, so if you simply can point me to a couple of posts where all this is explained I will be grateful.

If you "Go PRO" (and you don't have to) you will still be able to use all your cards for the standard missions. It just means that you won't be able to use the PRO cards for them. If you decide not to go PRO then you can use all your cards, including the PRO cards, for the standard missions.
Going PRO will still mean that you can do standard missions but WITHOUT the influence of PRO cards?
Also, people who GO PRO will be ranked in the current rankings + PRO charts (for singles)?
Correct on the first question. Haven't decided on the second one yet.
