It's September 1st! Hope it's an awesome month for you all, Hive peoplezz.
I gotta ask though... Where the hell has the year gone???
We've had lockdowns, global industry shutdowns, what seemed like whole continents on fire a royal passing, bumbling buffoon Boris's bouncing baby and sleepy Joe movin' in to the Whitehouse... Jeez what a year so far...
I'm sure the last few pages will be ripped from the calendar in what feels like a couple of weeks, that's how the year always ends, right?
If you are a fan of the game, then you will know all about the 1st of the month for the @risingstargame community. it is the day that sees brand new tradable, collectible edible trading cards (think NFT's) winging their way in to the gaming world.
Tell me, what sort of incompetent fool would I be, not to get in and grab a piece of that particular action, huh?
So, I've been-a-savin up my StarBits, ready to pounce and become evil Emperor of the woooorrrld... Oops, sorry about that, I was promised these new pills would solve all that kind of mischief!
Simply put, for those who want to grow their status in the game and also get their hands on a daily reward (paid in Hive) being i the top 100 daily players is the way to go.
The metrics for calculating the ranks means those with the most unique cards in their collection, gain more ranking points and reign supreme. With this in mind, the first of the month and the launch of the new cards can really boost those unique cards in the collection.
So I decided to splash out 100,000 Starbits for 12 packs of (3 pack) cards, and it's become a bit of a tradition of mine that when I open 12 packs I share the results in a post, not unlike the post you are reading right here, right now my little Earthling friend.
So without further ado, let's get to it!
Pack number 1
Not a single mention of cheese and yet, I caught me a Mouse, that's gotta be cool, right? Good first card. Is today gonna be the day that sees me showered in epic and legendary cards?
Pack number 2
Well, I got me a Will and Stacey wait a second, didn't they have a cheesy sitcom a few years back? Oh I got a Buster, he's always a regular feature in bulk pack openings, how many Buster's will I get today?
Pack number 3
Well no-one can ever say I lack the Will, I have 2 of them now! Uhm... Can anybody explain what Craig is wearing? Well no matter, what he lacks in style he makes up for in uniqueness as I don't have one in my collection yet, so he is very welcome.
Pack number 4
Ahahaha! There's Buster number 2, I knew it. Ian will be a very welcome addition to my collection as he is the first. There's also Leaf, I think last time I did a mass opening there were more Leaf's than Autumn in the local forest!
Pack number 5
This pack sees me with all the raw ingredients to form a new romantic pop group, gotta check my wardrobe to see if I still have that oh-so-tight white suit...
Pack number 6
That touring coach looks pretty cool, I wonder in a race between that and the cheap car, which would win? Another set of mid range decks, my second of the day if I'm not mistaken.
Did you hear about the Pirate who swabbed his own decks? He had to cancel his gig... Oh dear god, I apologise profusely for that one, I'm clearly not a well man!!!
Pack number 7
Hey Carly, good to meet ya, welcome to the collection, I'm not quite so keen on your friend Drew, but I believe he is another unique card too, so all is good.
Pack number 8
Well if it isn't Carly again, so soon after our first introduction. Hope she's not gonna sing about me being so vain again, it's hurtful. Oliver is a unique guy too, the collection is growing nicely.
Pack number 9
Oh, the RS Vocoder, that's new, with yet another set of mid range decks a cheapo keyboard, I think we could recreate some early Depeche mode stuff.
Pack number 10
The RS 101 is looking pretty snazzy, especially when it's displayed next to the bargain beater, I'm not even gonna make one joke about an out of work, drunken guy in a string vest either, in case you are wondering.
I'm sure that given the choice between the 2 instruments Leaf would choose the 101, he look like a photosynthesizer fan... Yeah, I went there!
Pack number 11
Awesome looking Jet ski versus nasty looking cheap car, it looks like the prize line up on a British 80's TV game show. Do I really spy Leaf number 3? Any more of them and we will be requiring a pack of rizla, I wonder how that joke carries around the rest of the world?
The final pack is upon us, pack number 12
Katie looks like she has some decent enough stats, I'm happy to welcome her to team Steven along with another Drew and yet another Rosanne, she has slimmed down a lot since that comedy show she starred in with John Goodman, as that joke bombs I realise my references are 20 or 30 years out of date...
Curse the damn ravages of time.

That's my way of explaining that I have a pack opening addictive disorder and 12 is simply not enough.
Bugle number 2, at this rate I will end up playing in Company B! Oh Stacey is new to my collection I believe, that's cool. Another cheap car, I wonder how good scrap metal prices are right now?
Oh to hell with it, it's only September 1st once a year, right? One more roll of the dice, in order to score that uber-rare legendary card that wants to hop in to my collection...
I mentioned the addictive disorder already, right? Well sadly there's no legendary there, however I did receive my first ever Kithara so all is certainly not lost. I know what you're thinking it's no swarmandal but it does a job, am I right?

I recently started playing this game and bought a 12 pack of cards yesterday.
I have got somewhat similar cards in packs too. 2 bugles, mouse, jet ski, Ian etc.
Lol, maybe most people get the same cards😂

Yeah, there is a huge abundance of cards that have the biggest issue number and obviously very few of the amazing cards, that's the name of the game though I guess. Once you build up your card collection a little more and the starbits come to you faster and faster, take some time to look through the cards you want and buy them individually.
This helps you gain more ranking points as unique cards are the most important factor to being in the top 100 players and gaining a daily Hive reward. Most importantly, have fun playing, my favourite part of @risingstargame is that it only takes a few minutes per day to play. If it required a lot of time commitment I probably wouldn't actually play.

I think it will take some time to reach top 100 players. I will build my cards collections slowly.
