Much appreciated, yeah late stage they are doing well. They are going to get more yellow on the leaves as the buds form but thats normal.
No most people do not check the trichomes with a microscope. Most tend to just get inpatient and harvest early. Or possibly by judging the amount of orange hairs forming on the buds. They start white and turn orange as they ripen, but I find the microscope the definitive method.
